Brunapoli Vitacura — Restaurant in Vitacura

Called ahead for a reservation was no problem and the arrival was nice with a personalized reservation card but be ready to fight for parking or having to walk. The food was was great, the simple salame pizza was cooked very well. The tomato sauce and dough were fresh and not overly salty. For dessert I ordered an americano and the calzone of Nutella and man was that good.

The reason why I don't give five stars is due to the service. The waiter was overworked with too many tables and wasn't as attractive. The thing that rubbed us the wrong way is when we ordered our dessert and asked for the utensils, they were just tossed in the center of the table. They were were not placed at our setting as we saw with other tables and the waiter did not seem to care to ensure we had the correct amount of spoons or forks.

Very fancy italian restaurant, which does not meet the expectations it sets. The interior is quite posh and it invites you to stay. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the food does not meet the high standard. I had the Scallopine di Vitello and they came with Mushrooms, which were clearly from a can. The sauce tasted like it came from a can and the meat was overcooked. The pasta was ok, but they missed the spot at where you call it al dente. We did not try the pizza, they actually looked quite nice. I would come back and try them out, but I definitely stay away from the rest. For the quality you get, the restaurant is too expensive.
