!!The owner is racist against mainland tourists. My 65 year old mother brought my 3 year old daughter to this bakery place near the hotel. They were buying a birthday cake to surprise me. The owner gave my mother a hard time for using with Alipay payment method and scolded at her for not wearing a mask. My daughter who only speaks English can’t understand a thing but she understands anger. She was shocked and scarred… when they brought the cake back, my mom didn’t mention the incident until we finished the cake. That broke my heart… it’s is my daughter’s first time visiting her dad’s hometown and her dad has been telling her how wonderful this city is. This incident definitely left a mark in her little heart as she refused to take a bite of the cake. Cake is her all time favorite…. My mother was also shocked and teared up when she told me what happened. She should never be treated like this just because she is...

Worst experience in Hong Kong, while I am ready to checkout, I was thinking to pay with my Visa card or Alipay, just realized that they only accept cash and octopus card. I touched the bread with my hand before the cashier, she gave me a despise, look down look, keep saying it is dirty now and I can not pay. I told her I will go back hotel to get cash.

Once I came back with cash, I noticed that usually the bakery provide tray and clip to grab items, there is one-time paper to cover the tray also, but this store doesn’t provide the paper, I told the cashier, or maybe she is the owner, that this practice is poor standard of food hygiene, she just saying this is way it is. After I paid the cash, I told her that people sometimes make innocent mistake, you are not in right way to treat the customer by giving them despise look.

Avoid this store if you really care about food hygiene....

A small bakery on the high street. Very low price but high quality buns! Not like the big chain stores, the buns found here is very full and heavy!! And there is a lot of choices too! Garlic bread, cheese sticks, tuna, pineapple bun, loaf, etc., all the traditional local buns you can find them here. They also do whole cakes but recommend to reserve in advance. They use very cute colourful creams, rainbow colours, looks a bit old schools but it is very warm as local hongkongers. From the posters in store i can see, they do support local families by giving out free buns and give other support. Good...

This is my go-to bakery every time I am in the area! The brown sugar cake is definitely a must-try. I literally buy at least two everytime I go there. As a pandan lover, I really appreciate the fac that this bakery offers a lot of pandan pastries, including pandan Swiss roll, pandan mochi balls, pandan soft bread, pandan chiffon cakes... They also have some really innovative products such as coriander pineapple bun, an interesting twist to the traditional Hong Kong pastry.
