It was quite and nice in the Friday afternoon (2025-09-12) between 3:00 and 5:00. The Cappachino (hk$35?) and Cold Brew (hk$50) were excellence. The floral and fruity notes in the cold brew was obvious and easily noted. Even the Cappachino under the thick milk foam can be noted easily. The bakery was also good.
I am a coffee lover. Just reviewing the coffee below doesn't mean I don't like the dishes.
I chose the Ethiopia bean for the cold brew (the other was Columbian). It was prepared 3 days ago, stored in a glass jar with an air-tight lid keeping in refrigerator. The staff was so generous letting me try the Ethiopia before ordering one. I was surprised that it was that good.
Before we left, I talked to the staff there. I learned that the cold brew was steeped for 24 hours in a generous beam-water ratio of 1:10. It was not at its best right after brewing, but a few days after. (Just as I learned earlier that it was due to the change of compounds in the coffee during oxidation) They recommended serving cold brew within 7 days after brewing. The beam used to prepare the Cappachino was 19 grams, which was also generous. No wonder that the coffee flavor in the Cappachino was so pronounced and strong, which was excellent. I believe both the coffee beams in these drinks were of top Grade, if not the Specialty Grade.
It was a nice experience and I went to this shop the next day with another friend of mine. It was 1pm on Saturday. Almost full house, although no waiting. The cold brew was not as strong, as it was served with ice (and may be due to the 4th day after brewing? and/or quality control factor). The cappuccino also was not as strong. Although I like the Friday coffees more, the Saturday coffees were still above the average of other shops.
The water is offered self-serving, which is slightly tainted with lemon juice to the point that I enjoyed, good for wetting the mouth before...
Read moreI visited AP Coffee today at around 4:48 PM, and the experience was underwhelming. Ordering at the counter is straightforward, and while they only accept cash and FPS, that wasn’t an issue. However, the staff’s performance was a letdown. I had to repeat my order multiple times because the person taking it seemed confused—my request for a coffee was met with repeated questions. The real frustration came with the billing: I was quoted 170 HKD, confirmed it twice, and handed over 500 HKD. The change given was 325 HKD, and after using a calculator, the staff insisted the bill was 175 HKD. This lack of clarity and basic math skills was disappointing, and it felt like the staff might have been too tired to handle orders properly. The coffee itself was average, and my matcha latte had a slight taste of matcha powder but was still disappointingly bland with no distinct flavor. Other drinks seemed fine, but the overall experience suffered due to the staff’s unprofessional attitude. Better training could make a...
Read moreA Cup and More Cafe Review 5/5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in the neighborhood Stumbled upon A Cup for morning what a delightful surprise! The white marble counter gleams under soft lighting, making it the perfect backdrop for people-watching or a quick catch-up with friends. I ordered 3 hot latte for me and friends – rich, velvety, and perfectly frothed, with notes of caramel that lingered just right. The barista, a friendly young woman with a warm smile, nailed it without missing a beat amid the lunchtime rush. Snagged a fresh pastry from the display case too – flaky, buttery goodness that paired beautifully with the coffee. If you’re after a no-fuss, aesthetically pleasing coffee fix that feels like a mini escape, A Cup and More is your spot. Already planning my next visit – maybe for their iced options next time! Highly...
