Bovini Steakhouse & Bar — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I feel compelled to leave this review as the current rating (ie. 4.1) and the reality I experienced have a gigantic chasm between them. The steak was so hard to chew (poor meat quality) and overcooked (lacking attention). Some sides that came out with the dish were downright cold and others were lukewarm at best. Prawns were tiny and average and the accompanying salad was little in portion and overflowing with dressing. The price was ~400 per person for both appetizer and the main dish. I think for this level of experience, I would rather get an imported sirloin cut from nearby MEATOGO near Tin Hau MTR and grill at home myself. That probably could have saved...

The place is cute and cozy, and the food is very fresh and tasty. I had tried the potato gnocchi and vegetable risotto. They felt homemade in the best way possible, while the flavour was pretty special, unlike other chain restaurants. The portion was big, not mentioning the sets were all under $100!
