Bing Kee is a fast food street stall tucked away in a quiet back alley in Hong Kong. It is one of the last remaining "cha dong" (茶檔) which has been in business since the 1950s.
I've been visiting Bing Kee frequently since high school. The hygiene is questionable and the dining environment is not ideal, but this is where you can fully experience down-to-earth food and blue-collar life in Hong Kong.
*Spam, Egg and Spiced Beef Instant Noodle 餐丁蛋麵 My go-to order is the sunny side up egg and spiced beef cubes (五香肉丁) combo. The chili oil of the beef cubes gives a spicy kick and pairs well with the sesame oil soup.
They also offer a variety of classic HK cafe food toppings. The popular options include marinated pork chop, soy sauce wing, corned beef and red sausage.
*Butter Toast with Evaporated Milk 奶油麥多 My favorite breakfast item. The toast is thickly cut and fluffy. They toast both sides of the bread, generously spread some butter, then drizzle evaporated milk over it. Very crispy and sweet snack to kick start your morning.
*HK Style Milk Tea 港式奶茶 Their hk style milk tea used to be top notch. Unfortunately the quality was disappointing this time. The milk-to-tea flavors were unbalanced and tea base was overwhelmingly bitter. Hope it was...

The atmosphere is pure Hong Kong. The clatter of dishes mingles with lively chatter, creating a vibrant energy that's infectious. The friendly staff, though efficient, adds to the authenticity. Don't be surprised if they recommend their signature dish – the pork chop noodles.

Bing Kee isn't about aesthetics, it's about an authentic taste of Hong Kong. It's perfect for a quick, satisfying meal that will leave you wanting to return for more. So, pull up a stool, embrace the energy, and savor a slice of Hong Kong's...
Read moreThe food here is average, the HK style milk tea is the best thing about this place.
There is around a 15-20 minutes wait on the weekend. This place is outdoors, it’s pet friendly and there are smokers sometimes.
Don’t expect too much even though it seems popular and the occasional local celebrity is spotted here. The food is mediocre, they offer rice noodles and instant noodles. Their instant noodles are not Demae itcho (出前一丁) as some other people have stated, their pork chop is recommended but it really isn’t anything special.
Their porkchops sandwiches are a bit dry. They offer thick toast with different toppings such as condensed milk and peanut butter, they are not very generous with the topping so I was personally suggest you ask for more of the topping you desire. If thick toast is your thing I would recommend 順興茶檔.
The milk tea here is highly recommended, a must try. Please don’t expect service here, after all it is a street vendor thus their service will not hold any...
