I recently had the pleasure of trying their crunchy tart with caramel and peanuts, as well as their canelé (also some other items - check out my photos!) and I have to say, I was blown away by the quality and flavors of everything I tried.
The crunchy tart was truly a work of art. The chocolate tart shell was perfectly crisp, while the caramel filling was rich, sweet, and perfectly balanced. The addition of peanuts provided a wonderful crunch and nutty flavor that elevated the tart to new heights.
The canelé at Plumcot is also a delight. These small French pastries have a crispy, caramelized exterior and a soft, custardy interior. The texture is simply divine - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The vanilla and rum flavors are delicate and perfectly balanced, making the canelé a wonderful treat for any time of day.
One thing that really sets Plumcot's desserts apart is the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into the baking process. Each canelé is made with high-quality flour, sugar, and eggs, and the tarts are crafted with exceptional attention to detail.
If you're ever in the area, be sure to stop by Plumcot and try some of their amazing treats - you won't be...
Read moreI recently visited Plumcot and left feeling quite disappointed. I ordered a meat quiche ( which is usually the standard one that you ever want to try ) , but I received a vegetarian one instead . The first bite revealed how bland it was, which only added to my frustration.
When I brought this to the attention of the server, he apologized but informed me that I couldn't order the meat quiche and I should not have eaten it a bit ( but how could I know if i don’t taste it ? ) . It felt like a real letdown. I believe the service could be greatly improved, as a simple mistake led to a disappointing experience. I hope they can work on better communication and customer satisfaction in the future. The owner lady apologize but didn’t offer anything else neither such as I could order another meat quiche . Very...
Read moreIt is a lovely pastry/ice cream shop at a back street of Tai Hang. I happen to discover (attracted by the shop front then the semi open kitchen) it at last weekend n tried a raisin croissant, it was delicious with soft layers inside & great butter tastes (though not too heavy)! I went back today to buy an almond croissant n this tastes even better! I used to buy croissants from Pret A Manger, I think these are much better in quality, taste & freshness. There is generous use of ingredients n can tell the products are made with heart & care. Guess the pastry chef is from French? Anyways just want to share out for more people to discover this nice back...
