I don’t get all of these negative comments about their service.
I go here very often. I’ve never had a problem with service. Owners were always so nice and friendly. I’ve also seen how they interact with other new customers and their regulars as well, I’ve never seen them act rude towards them🤷♀️
In terms of food, their food is actually quite good. I’ve tried other cafes nearby and I can say Cafe34T’s food is not even close to terrible. And often cafe foods lack flavour but theirs tbh don’t. I highly recommend trying their spicy arrabbiata or their all day breakfast. Those are my faves!
For coffee, I can’t speak much on this since I’m not a coffee connoisseur BUT I do love their mocha. I’m not a fan of sour coffee and their mocha is super silky, it’s not overly creamy or chocolatey. It’s easy to drink. I also love their iced peach tea, especially on hot days when i particularly don’t want any milky drinks.
In terms of atmosphere, I love it. Most cafes around Sheung Wan are usually overcrowded, and bustling. But this cafe I guess is not as popular that’s why it has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I like the decor as well, just simple.
All in all, as much as I want to gatekeep this cafe, I definitely do not want it to shut down because of all the negative comments. Owners are super nice and their food is def made with care. I’d highly suggest to give it a try before jumping to...
Read moreWent here on a friend's recommendation. Overall, BELOW AVERAGE experience.
Summary, take your money to another coffee shop in the area who provides overall quality of service, including coffee and food.
Other suggestions Vacay Coffee and Bread, Halfway Coffee, Fragile Coffeehoise, Lassana Coffee
Here's why below. Food is average. Taste average for the price. Guess it looks pretty.
Coffee tastes average too. Same comment as above. Looks pretty. Majority of people cared only about posting pics.
Decor was average. Other place in the area had better eyes pleasing layout and color palette.
Service is TERRIBLE, specifically by the owner, like the majority of Hong Kong attitudes. Only cared about money instead of OVERALL quality of service. The place was majority empty on arrival. They keep telling us there is a 90min limit during the ordering and payment. Understandable if the place was crowded or had a que. IT WAS 85% EMPTY during the 90 mins. We were there in the afternoon. We got passively "pushed out" when our friends came to the place. The owner did not want to serve them because one person did not want to order anything. Then reference us staying there close to...
Read moreI ordered and paid for a hojicha latte with oat milk. It came in a tall Collins glass full of milk. I already knew how it would taste like before I even sipped it. I politely asked if they could pour out at least half the massive glass of oat milk and add more hojicha, to which I got chided - “no we’re not pouring out the milk” cos “do you even know what a latte is”, “this is OUR recipe”, “if you wanted a double shot, you should’ve told us”… it was all very unnecessary, attitude was horrific. I conceded by saying look if you don’t wanna make a new one that’s totally fine. Anyways they made another and it was still rank. And the entire remaining time that I was there with my friend who was drinking her tea, this guy was bitching about me and the situation in Cantonese, without a clue that I understood everything he said. Look honey you’re clearly in the wrong gig if ONE paying customer who didn’t like your hojicha latte riled you up so bad. If you’re reading this and you’re an investor in this cafe, fire this guy or get your money out. And if you’re the owner/barista in question, well you need...
