Very disappointing. What started off with a relatively simple order, satay as a starter then two mains with rice, a curry and steamed fish, seemed easily messed up by them. The first thing to arrive was the lamb curry, no sign of any rice for it, and who knows where the started went.... we assumed the rice was following..... for a good 5+ minutes we gave them the benefit of the doubt, then had to ask "what happened to the rice that was supposed to go with this main, and while we're on the subject, where is the other main and what happened to the starter" . Following that people ran around and the two bowls of rice appeared, still no second main course that the second rice was for and still no starter. So we tucked into the now "warm" main course. Then the started suddenly appeared. So now what, do we have that while its hot, and let the warm curry get cold, or have the warm curry and let the hot started go cold.... still no fish. Bored with waiting we both ate the one main course that had arrived with both bowls of rice and the starter, and after yet another 10 minutes told them to forget the fish, we'd really lost the appetite for it. As before they all ran around panicking and suddenly produced the fish then ran off. We had to create a scene at the restaurant as they were insisting that we pay in full for everything.
The points are simple:
All in all very very disappointing, all the staff covered their backsides basically lying to the manager as to what they told us and when etc etc Maybe we were just unlucky, but given the many restaurants nearly, I wouldn't risk it if I were you...
Read moreCame here twice, first time wasnt great but was hoping it was a once off and wanted to give it another chance. Both times ordered some of my favourite dishes of Hainan chicken rice and basil minced meat stir-fry. Chicken was overcooked on both times and the 2nd time, they got my order wrong but instead of apologising, they tried to charge me for their mistake. The basil minced meat stir fry was overly dry and bland too. I wish I could've liked it as I'm often in the area and wanted to find a go to Thai restaurant. Sadly, this is not.
There are better Thai restaurants just...
Read moreDinner set for two comments: Portions were a bit small to justify the price. The Hainan Chicken was very difficult to chew, the appetizer half cold and the shrimp cake didn't looked quite soaked of oil, the pineapple fried rice in the menu doesn't come in a pineapple itself and ee had like 3-4 pieces of pineapple. On the other hand, the Tom Yum Gong was good and the Tinger Prawn Curry too. A bit unorganized, maybe as it was full house, but at least one staff...
