Hong Kong Island Taphouse — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

The Hong Kong Island Taphouse is located along Tsing Fung Street in the Tin Hau neighbourhood. Opening hours are presently 2.30pm to late (Sun to Fri) and 12.30pm to late (Sat). They have an large open seating area, offering around 25 local beers on tap along with a typical range of bar foods and snacks. You can watch sports on the telly at Taphouse as well.

Recently stopped by and had the Lion Rock Oriental Pearl (Oatmeal Stout). This is the only stout or dark beer on offer at the moment, not one of my favourites but not bad either. It is 5.9%, crispy beer with sweet, chocolate finish.

Lots of space to meet up with friends at Taphouse, service is friendly and plenty of locally brewed beers on tap if you are looking for a bar in the Tin Hau area of...

As other people have said, they have a good selection of beers but the prices are quite expensive. The service is decent.

The food though... disgusting. I've been here three times (tried three different items from the menu) and it is horrendous. Deep fried, oily garbage. (Note I like fried chicken and chips... but this food was barely edible).

Very nice place. There beer selection is great. Their prices are very expensive. Majority of the beers are at least $60hkd. They are beers that are not very popular or easy to find in Hong Kong. If you're looking to hang out and drink, especially during non peek hours, it's expensive. But if you want good quality beer, you should try it. Personally, there's better places that have less selection, but more moderate...
