Middling sushiya that, being outside Japan, has to stoop to non-sushi lunch options, including yakitori (which is the job of a yakitoriya, of course). The result of multi-tasking in Japanese cuisine is never good, and it shows here: chawanmushi is watery, gari is made from tough old ginger, rice is a tad too sticky and portions somewhat petite. The head sushi chef speaks Japanese but the service is brusquely local down to the tea poured from an overly large aluminum thermos that comes dangerously close to patrons’ faces when in use. Still, presentation is good and the set is a good lunch bargain for HK$250.

Random find in HongKong, I walked in for lunch. I ordered sushi lunch set, it came with miso soup, chawan mushi and ice cream dessert. Presentation is excellent and taste followed as well. I had good sushi in Japan, however this place is pretty much same good quality sushi in Japan as well. Not the cheapest but quality won’t disappoint you. I will be back again.

Slightly expensive for the sushi lunch. HK$250 for 10pcs. Friendly and knowledgeable chef. Fish is fresh and soy sauce already applied. Service was pretty intrusive. Decorations were tired but neat and tidy. Ginger is homemade and taste really good. Ice cream was very creamy too.
