🚨🚨🚨 Poor Service and Billing Issues 🚨🚨🚨
I'd like to share my recent experience with F&B, where my friends and I were unfortunately met with less than satisfactory service.
From the onset, the staff was rather pushy, frequently urging us to place our order even though we already told her we were waiting for a friend to join us. As first-time visitors, we were unaware that the establishment charged for some kinds of water – a fact that was not communicated to us when we were asked if we wanted some water. Our waitress' attitude significantly soured when we expressed we not expecting for to be paid water before the bottle was opened.
Moreover, the staff's lackadaisical approach extended to the billing process. We were erroneously charged for a bottle of wine that was served to an adjacent table. This mistake, combined with the earlier incident, painted a picture of disorganization and lack of attention to detail.
In a dining establishment, particularly a grand steakhouse, where one expects a certain level of service and professionalism, such experiences leave a bitter taste. I believe it's essential for the restaurant management to address these issues to improve their customer service and ensure...
Read moreFeather & Bone is a highly regarded steakhouse that I’ve frequented in the past. I’m sad that the branch in Happy Valley got relocated.
But regardless, the steak here is always great, and grilled to perfection. However, I think I made a mistake not going up to the butcher’s block to get the steak that I wanted! Nevertheless, the ribeye we had was a spot-on medium. It was tender, juicy, and was paired really well with the pepper sauce that was provided. Can’t fault the chips, as they were crunchy and fluffy (outside and in, respectively), and the baby onions were a good touch to the plate.
The white wine mussels were delicious too, as we mopped up all that soup with the bread. I even had to scoop it all out with the spoon!
Only thing I have to mention is that the prices are starting to mismatch portions, but I think this applies to Hong Kong in general. I do think I will still frequent this place due to its quality and service, however. Lastly, expect noise since the way the restaurant is designed, the chatter (and baby noises) bounce around, so it can get loud. Unless there’s some sound proofing, you’d have an overstimulating meal when the...
Read moreThis is our second visit to Feather & Bone as a family with two two year olds. We went on Sunday 17th and they had the Sunday roast available. I would recommend this restaurant because the food is delicious, the staff are very friendly (shout out to Capilla), I really enjoyed the music they had from Nelly to Elton John and our free flow drinks were always topped up.
I really like the atmosphere the most. For me having staff who are accommodating and helpful makes the whole experience better. Our kid was playing around with the plastic table divider, when we asked if we can remove it until someone else sits on the table next to us they were like sure. I’ve been to other restaurants where they are very strict and do not let you move the plastic divider (even though there was no one sitting around us). Food arrived quickly so our little hungry pups were not waiting long enough to cause any ruckus.
Go and visit and you know what I mean. Thanks F&B. I think we’ll try and hit up all your branches. Tsuen Wan...
