King Prawn Restaurant — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Food was superb I must say! But unfortunately, the service was far from being delightful. We’re foreign customers so we don’t speak Chinese at all. We asked for 2 sets of spoon and fork (we ordered fried rice along with other rice meal) but the lady on the counter only gave us 1 fork. So we asked again nicely thinking she did not understand. This time she gave us one spoon with rolling eyes. So again, we asked for one more set (because we are a couple needing two sets). She gave us 1 set but AGAIN with rolling eyes AND a DEEP SIGH. We were so sad with the treatment, good thing the food was something you would come back to. We will give this restaurant a second chance so hopefully the lady will treat us better.

The woman at the reception was cheating, wanted to charge higher and serve less foods. I have tried more than once this month, and she kept asking me to pay a faulty higher price. When I challenged her how she calculated, she said she made a mistake. And complimentary drinks were included per menu, and she won’t serve it, until I ask her where are the drinks, then she scolded me that I didn’t tell her what drink we want when I ordered.

And the milk tea she gave us were watered down and tastes weird, and she served us much less soup than other customers. I felt unwell the last time I went. I gave it 3 chances to see if it would improve, and it never did.

Foods are cheap though, and...

TLDR: food quality very low and tricky, dining area sanity bad, won't come here again. 省流：食物制作非常敷衍，店面卫生不到位，不会再来。

可能多次转手，出品变差了。我从十多年前至今都有光顾，喇沙还算稳定(出货量大材料容易买？)。昨晚点了茄汁牛腩，芒果鸡丝沙拉。 Perhaps due to multiple changes in ownership, the quality of the dishes has declined much. I've been a patron here for over a decade, and the beef lasagna has remained relatively consistent (perhaps due to large number of daily consumption and ingredients are easy to buy now?). Last night, I ordered tomato beef brisket and mango chicken salad.

茄汁很诡异，如图所示分层，没有茄味；牛腩肉质很差，没有肉味，便利店的速动饭里的肉都没这难吃。整一个冷冻预制菜不如。 The tomato sauce was bizarre, as shown in the picture, with visible separation and absolutely no tomato flavor. The beef brisket was of poor quality, devoid of any meatiness; even the frozen meals from convenience stores taste better than this. It was more like a frozen, pre-prepared meal gone bad.

沙拉里的芒果，一开始还在想会用黄芒果还是青芒果，结果是零食芒果干切丝啊…啊？啊？！认真的吗… As for the mango in the salad, I initially wondered whether they'd use ripe yellow mango or tart green mango. Instead, they used shredded dry mango jerky food… huh? What?! Are you serious?…

餐台台面干净，但座椅靠背、墙壁、靠近厨房的大面积区域，都有霉点，我只能说祝老板阖家安康CNMD. The tabletops were clean, but the seat backs, walls, and large areas near the kitchen were spotted with mold. All I can say is, wish the owner whole family...
