Obviously they are short of staff. The staff was so busy that they were grumpy. Rubbish is all over the place - used tissue paper, leftover rice, sauces - on the table and on the floor… yuck. The lunch dish was very average and not hot which made me worried about food hygiene. I tried to order an over-easy egg and the waitress insisted that I have a well done egg. I don’t know why. They do provide a famous local brand chilli sauce (Yu Kuen Yick) and Del Monte ketchup in small sachets which is the reason why they get 3 star for food instead of one. I believe people come here because it is cheap, about 10% cheaper than an average Hong Kong style bistro (Cha Chan Tang). Interior was cute, where they were trying to recreate the “old Hong Kong style”. Pretty instagramable. It was pretty empty so not too loud to have discussions with friends.
Service was one of the worst that I have ever experienced even as a local. The cashier lady is very rude in all ways. She refused to assist with reservation at lunch hour saying she is busy.
They also don’t take card now so prepare cash or using your octopus card.
