My local cafe, and I love them. The friendliest staff - they love my little toddler, she loves them back!

I only have positive words for this cafe.

The coffee is consistently good. I normally order a nutty-dirty (okay, it sounds pretty bad now that I've written it out...it's worth the awkwardness) or flat white, and my wife an oat-milk flat white. Again, consistently good and enough to take my patronage away from NOC.

The food is pleasant - their chicken sandwich is my go-to. That bread is just so on point!

They're accommodating. The service is attentive without being intrusive - and they don't boot you out on normal days (...weekends, different story. It's busy!)

Feels like a slice of Melbourne - and for me, that's as arrogantly and proudly as I could put it.

Well done to the team...

Had a dinner date with my friend, and visited this cafe in Fortress Hill. . We ordered Linguine with Tiger Prawn & Pesto and Risotto with Grilled Barramundi & Fennel to share.

The Linguine with Tiger Prawn & Pesto included tiger prawn, homemade pesto, French bean, parmesan, cherry tomatoes, Thai asparagus and linguine. The linguine had an al dente texture, and the rich green pesto mixed well with the veggies.

The Risotto with Grilled Barramundi & Fennel featured barramundi, fennel, garlic, lime, lobster, bisque and parmesan. The barramundi was substantial, and the risotto was creamy with a strong lobster aroma.

My friend ordered English Pearl Lemonade. The drink was refreshing and smooth. . The cafe is spacious and has a white colour tone with floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a...

Low key excellence. An outstanding (and very clever) barista producing top, quality, coffee without unnecessary additions (Starbucks, please note!). Quiet, efficient table service. Clearly an efficient kitchen. My Eggs Benedict (with bacon and spinach) were generous (superb bread, btw; wish I knew their supplier) without being daunting. No loud music, yaay!! My only cavill is the rather cavernous, barracks-like decor (it was a cold morning). Decidedly recommended 👌 😀

18/04/2023 a quick breakfast. The coffee is as good as ever, the Pause-It Breakfast (2 rashers of bacon, 2 perfect poached eggs (quite a skil in itself), a hash brown, plenty of lovely fresh salad leaves) was great value at $58. Fast, friendly service. My...

I ordered the sesame latte in English, the workers speak mandarin and English on top of Cantonese. I was served water while I waited for my sesame latte. The sesame latte had a really cute Santa latte art on it, as i went in December, and the latte tasted delicious. I could feel the fine bite of black sesame, and the latte was fragrant and smooth. It also wasn’t too sweet. On top of that, I like how the menu is descriptive. The items are unique without the menu trying to be too creative. I didn’t have to ask what the items on the menu were. It was very straight forward and easy to understand.
