Sushi Shin — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I have been wanting to come here for a while and finally had the opportunity to come here for lunch. The lunch sets are all fairly priced in the range of 150-360 hkd. I opted for the 12 piece sushi lunch which comes to about 400 hkd after the 10% service charge is included. Great value for the quality and taste of the sushi. Highly recommend to come for lunch.

The 12 piece sushi set included 10 nigiri, one small hand roll and a six piece toro roll. Also comes with an egg custard, miso soup and choice of ice cream or coffee. I have a big appetite and I was definitely full after this meal.

The revamped interiors with adequate lighting temperature (finally!) now gives this place full scores on ambiance, freshness, execution, authenticity and price. Has a loyal local following which allows it to thrive in all economic conditions ...fish is very fresh and it’s really great if you go for premium menu which is where they really excel with abalone and uni which is to die for. Service can be a bit slow away from the sushi bar. Lunch is much better value than dinner but Chef Wai is very good and friendly.
