🍹SKYE roof-bar and dining (cwb) Restaurant week 2021 SKYE is now one of my favourite fine dining restaurants. The food was all on point 👌🏼 we ordered a three course menu which included: 1. Complimentary beverage 2. Complimentary signature canapies 3. Appetiser: Hokkaido seared Scallops 4. Main course: 200 day grain-fed Tenderloin 5. Unlimited dessert (multiple selection of cakes, mango sorbet and fruit salad) 6. Complimentary coffee/ tea As you can see, the view was SPECTACULAR. 🏙 The view is the best from the outdoor bar, but be warned.. it is superrrr hot ☀️ outside and you might sweat like a fountain 😂⛲️ but honestly, I think it was well worth it for this view!! We decided to go in to have our dessert, the view wasn’t as nice but it was very comfortable and the desserts were amazing! We had a wide range of cakes 🍰 to select from and we couldn’t decide on what to get! We were indecisive on choosing indoor or outdoor dining but the waiters were all super nice and patient with us🥰. Thank you so much @skyeparklane !!!

Come for the vibes and views. Drinks and food were decent but nothing too impressive. Their cocktail menu while interesting in terms of presentation, felt uninspired otherwise - I think I’ve seen those same drinks in a few other cocktail bars. I went for a cocktail that looked beautiful on the menu with a Chinese character but it looked like a kid drew on it when the real thing arrived. Food wise, I had a prawn cocktail from their cold bar and a chicken dish prepared french style. The chicken used was breed locally and I liked it that they served up a generous portion of mushrooms on the side. They were all fine but for the main dish (chicken), the portion was too little and I was still hungry after. It isn’t a bad place to hang ultimately but I probably wouldn’t travel all the way for it ; my hotel was just at the same building which made for a nice quick meal.

Omicron, keeping distance dinning, we went to Skye on 27/F Pullman hotel CWB for lunch. Arrived, high ceiling, spacious, nicely greeted at entrance, all the way in to our table, relax & quiet! Servers were well trained, gone through the menu in details. We selected 3 course lunch, started with my oyster appertizer, a pleasant surprise, chilled Gillardeau with crushed vodka soda ice & cucumber, wow ….. 👍 My partner’s smoke salmon with Mozzarella cheese, yum! Main course Canadian lobster over wheat risotto, mine pearl chicken breast both well prepared. Desert wagon should been thrill for ladies, over 10 delicious items to choose from, I must give credit to my banana dark chocolate cake, went down smoothly with small cup of expresso and left a good long after taste. Entire lunch was a great journey for the palate!

Disastrous Birthday Experience at SKYE

My recent birthday celebration here was a complete disaster. Despite paying a hefty deposit for a reservation, the staff's rude attitude and condescending tone and lack of service was unacceptable and shocking. I booked a table for 9pm and paid a 3,000 HKD deposit. I was a bit late to my reservation due to not being able to get a cab over to the other side, which was my fault, but the staff or front desk called multiple time yelling over the phone with such rude attitude and condescending tone like she did not care for business at all. Since we already paid the deposit, I still decided to go and even apologized many times to her over the phone and tried to stay positive about this place. The moment I got there, her face and expression was super pissed and she even rolled her eyes at us. She gave me so much attitude saying if you are late then we cancel the appointment, don't think about coming here again, if you have a chance to even come back... I was shocked at the way she talked to customers this way at a hotel bar. Then, she walked us to the table and there was a 40-minute wait for a menu and water, as the staff purposely avoided our table and didn’t even bat an eye at us. This, coupled with overpriced drinks and food ruined the entire experience. The lack of consideration for a special occasion, as requested in the booking, was disappointing. I do not recommend SKYE unless you enjoy being ripped off and receiving attitude from the entire team. The service was far below the standard of a supposed...

A very disappointing experience, specially in a Hong Kong establishment. Brunch 4 Courses $750+ Brunch 3 Courses $620+ Caviar 30g $400+ Free flow Champagne $380+

Food quality in terms of freshness was very mediocre. Seafood Platter Skinny snow crab legs, smelling bad, small peeled prawns, oysters, snail, (menu said Sea Whelk and Home made smoked trout, but not served) Probably the caviar was the life saver!

Hot Appetizer +$130 Panfried Foie Gras - was prepared well.

Main Course Roasted US Prime Rib - Maybe 180g, dry and tasteless Butter Mashed Potato - A very insipid looking (white color??)and tasteless preparation, most probably made with potato powder.

Dessert Trolley -A poor collection of sliced cakes and fresh strawberries Crepe Suzette - Prepared a La minute, was well prepared.

Our server Winnie was very friendly, professional and was able to provide lots of information on the happenings on Causeway Bay water front.

Restaurant is poorly decorated, giving the feeling of a canteen. Atmosphere could be different at night.

There are many many really nice weekend Brunch venues we’ve been to, Zuma, Duddels, Sheraton Oyster and Wine Bar, Sabatinis etc, this restaurant is not able to come anywhere near even with some of the standalone restaurants in the city.

Bill was $3,003 for 2 pax, a total waste. Food presentations were so poor, we didn’t even bother to...
