sensory ZERO [ Taikoo Cityplaza | All Day Dining ] — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

My brunch with friends there was a very good experience. Salad was fresh and dressing was just enough (i am not a fans of too much dressing). All day breakfast was in a portion absolutely made an adult full. Finally the black coffee mocha really amazed me.

Apart from above brunch, yesterday I came here again for afternoon tea. I found new dishes in menu there. Appreciated very much the good quality of croissants with creamy scrabbled eggs and for toppings we ordered grilled eel and deep fired luncheon in thick cut. Very impressive the presentations and taste very good. Meanwhile we ordered latte as standard and iced coffee in gas with ginger and orange as signature. Not bad attempts on new taste but I would expect more thicker the foam will be much better! Just a little piece of advice!

dinner with my friend here last Friday, food was never disappointing except for this time - i think i made a mistake ordering the "Aka-miso-ginger Triple decker Iberico Pork Belly Rice", volume was good and the triple decker pork was certainly luring - a fly kept coming back and wanted a share, but it turned out to be too salty for me and it tasted to me more like chinese fermented red beancurd than japanese aka-miso-ginger, also the woman sitting in the next table was sneezing non-stop which was terrible and alarming - i started coughing the very night and have since been suffering from nasal congestion and am nearly blowing my nose...

Ordered Australia M5 beef onsen egg over rice set lunch. It was the first dish I had with this chain at their Southern location, and was quite impressed back then, years ago. But that really was years ago, as I was quite disappointed with this visit. Not an expert so can’t tell if it’s real “wagyu” to have the grading in the first place but the beef was quite lean that I doubt it is “M5”, and cooked quite thoroughly unlike the medium or medium-rare as it was before and shown on photo.

Coffee is still pretty good.

Maybe I just had too much expectation for a place that showed so much heart...
