THE MATCHA TOKYO (Cityplaza) — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

We ordered the matcha cream cheese pancake, which was priced the same as the one at the Central branch. However, the pancake's texture was slightly less crispy and a bit chewier. In contrast, the one we had at the Central branch on the same day was piping hot, with a slightly burnt and crispy surface, which made it more appealing.

The matcha flavor was not very prominent; the dominant taste was the acidity of the cream cheese. The texture was heavier, which also affected the molten lava consistency.

In the past, I have always been disappointed with Matcha Tokyo's matcha offerings. They were either too clumpy or not concentrated enough. Good store atmosphere, their matcha latte had a very good flavor/color, but was a bit too sweet for me.
