I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shoreditch in Kennedy Town for a weekend lunch with friends. The eatery boasts a friendly, casual atmosphere and offers good value for the quality of food served. Our meal began with a selection of starters: mussels, crab cakes, and deep-fried white bait. While the mussels and crab cakes were spot-on, the white bait fell slightly short, carrying a bit of a fishy aftertaste. Moving on to the main course, my friends opted for the mushroom linguini and Argentina ribeye, both of which were met with high praise. My choice, the beef shin and bone marrow pie, was a delight. The beef was tender and the bone marrow added a rich, deep flavor that was nothing short of mouthwatering. Though I passed on dessert, my friend's molten cake with ice cream was a sight to behold and reportedly tasted as good as it looked. In conclusion, Shoreditch in Kennedy Town proved to be a surprisingly delightful dining experience, offering good value and a range of dishes that mostly hit the mark. It's a place I would certainly recommend to others and revisit for another memorable meal.

Vibe : ●●●●○ Price : ●●●●● Food : ●●●●○ After moving into the neighborhood, we have been trying many places in Kennedy Town. And this place really stands out among many. Shoreditch has been around as long as I have been in HK and one of those places I always wanted to try but did not have a chance to. It is definitely pleasant resraurant with a full spectrum of menu all the way from brunch to steak. It seems like they also have a free flow option which you can add to your brunch or dinner with 188 hkd per person, which we might try next time. The vibe of the restaurant is old British pub and their menu is primarily British and Scottish. So yes they do have Soctched eggs. I orderd a crab and tiger prawn egg benedict which was quite tasty. I really liked how they served with their homemase sourdough. Price is also not cheap but reasonable. Around the ball park you would expect from the mid tier restaurant in HK.

Wanna throwback to the dining experience we had at Shoreditch few weeks ago. We didn’t order full courses as we had a very late lunch, so we simply ordered 2 main to share ending with my favourite dessert. Both of the main came out at the same time, and the scent of the food was amazing 🤩. I was certain that the smell was spreading to 3 tables away!! We had the pork belly and the duck leg, they were so crispy and crunchy and of course delicious !! Unfortunately, the molten chocolate cake was quite disappointing- the texture and the taste wasn’t nice 😰 Anyhow, the mains were way better than expected, and I like the silence of the place!! Will definitely go again in the near future.

Have been craving for classic Sunday roast, didn’t expect much as I have always thought Shoreditch would just be another typical western bar restaurant serving regular food as many restaurants do in Hong Kong. It turned out to be a surprise! 😀 The roasted lamb shank was lovely cooked, tho the Yorkshire pudding could be better. The portion was very generous with the price. We also had a fish & chips, the fish was not greasy nor chewy as we all be afraid of, the meat was tender! Had a British gin which came along with elderflower tonic. The lunch was wonderful and we would come back for some good old uk memories 🇬🇧☺️

Heard good things about the restaurant and decided to visit. It’s a British bar/grill place with cool vibes. We came on a Sunday during brunch hours and ordered the Cullen Skink, and the crab/prawn Benedict. Not so many places in HK where you can find Scottish dishes, and the Cullen skink was good for sure. Although I’m not a big fan of the bread they use here. It’s too “airy”, soft and soggy for my taste. It’s the details that make or break a dish. Really hope they pair the food with better quality bread.
