What an amazing experience in one of major places of Hong Kong. To access the restaurant (which is basically a set of fishermen boats side to side) you need to board from the new Causeway Bay promenade. A little boat comes to pick you up to your destination. Just this part of the experience is already fun and quite new to be honest. On the restaurant (we had 1 boat for our group of 4 people). The food was very good and tasty, the service very gentle, kind and efficient. Nothing to complain about except maybe the price. You pay the experience more than the food. We paid for a menu for 4 people about 2000 HKD noting that there is no corkage fee so we brought our own bottles or wine. Otherwise a beer costs 25hkd which is very low for a restaurant. I warmly recommend. And by the way this is cheaper than similar...

Excellent hidden gem tucked into the typhoon shelter out from Causeway Bay. Lovely little Sampan journey out to the row of boating dining cabins. Simple, authentic decor with excellent pre-irder seafood menu options. We feasted on steamed fish, Duck-egg deep fried prawns, steamed prawns, razor clams with garlic, spicy garlic chilli crab and fried noodles and we waddled off the boat very satisfied with the quality and portion sizes. The cost was reasonable for seafood with a view. You order ahead, so you don't have to stress about the comprehensive menu options when you arrive. The venue is BYO with zero corkage and the service lady was sociable and attentive. Great...

When you’re getting dressed to come here, wear your best pair of glasses and a shirt with full colors (art style not physics style).

This boat is safe, clean, and full garlic. The food was just there. But the drones. That was the HIGHLIGHT.

You can see and be seen here. Because there’s no doors and tons of windows. But there is a toilet in the back!

If you close your eyes and cross fingers got could be in Thailand. Or Maine. If you can visualize it you can be there. But for me, I’m just in Hong Kong.

Also there’s no corkage fee!! What a time to be alive!!!! But there may be a cake cutting fee… So ask if ahead if you’re trying to host a birthday. Just looking...

I had a wonderful experience with friends dining with Shun Kee in Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. The restaurant is quite responsive when I made a reservation with them via Whatsapp. I could update them with changes of guests number and change of menu easily as well. We called the boat by the pier when we arrived on time and had a fun ride to the restaurant boat. There are 16 of us. So we sat in 2 boats adjacent to each other and it was still possible to talk to another boat. The food is delivered at a nice pace and we got to enjoy the meal without hurrying up. The seafood is quite good as well. Overall it's a very fun experience and would love to do it again with friends!
