Came across this Thai rest while scrolling through Openrice to look for newly opened restaurants and this caught my eye. The place was pretty "ig-able" and the food did look pretty good. What caught my eye was the Tsukemen thinking it was like Japanese ramen but with Thai Curry.
We ordered an appetizers (Thai Duck Salad), 2 mains (stir fried chicken flat noodle, Thai green chicken curry Tsukemen and nan bread) and 2 drinks (butterfly pea lemongrass soda and soda Zaab) to stare, and ended up order 2 more dishes (boat noodle, grilled pork neck) AND a dessert (sticky rice with mango) just for 2 people. i was stuff up to my neck but it was worth it. The food was really good and tasted pretty authentic. I was a little disappointed at the "Tsukemen" part as I thought there were more options or an actual dish, but its basically a side of noodles you can order with your curry. The funny thing is the noodle comes cold so when you dip and eat it with your curry it becomes lukewarm. Dont get my wrong, The curry with the noodles were really good and we couldnt get enough of it. As with all the other foods.I still think Samsen tastes better, but this place is a close second.
If you are thinking of going, dont pick the window seat like we have. The AC was blasting so cold behind us you can literally see your breath...
Read moreOne of the most authentic Thai food experiences I’ve had! This place was located in a relatively quiet and less noticeable alley, so we came across this rather unexpectedly.
The menu had extensive options at reasonable prices, with the option to make slight adjustments such as that of spice levels. My friend and I shared an appetizer and a main, and were satisfied with the portions. The food was aromatic, temperate, and flavorful; considering the use of herbs and oil in Thai food, it can be a bit overwhelming for those who aren’t used to strong flavors.
We’re very thankful for the staff’s kind accommodation and service while on their lunch break (off peak lunch hours). This was a pleasant dining experience and we’d gladly...
Read moreA new Thai restaurant around the East Tsim Sha Tsui area, , which you should definitely pay a visit to! They offer both traditional Thai dishes as well creative dishes like "tsukemen" with curry as the dipping sauce! Definitely try all the dishes in this post, because they're just so good, especially the canele! Never would have thought such a French dessert could be incorporated into a Thai menu.
The owner is so friendly and passionate about their food, taking time to explain each dish on the menu to every table and engage in conversation with their guests about almost everything.
