Delicious snacks! Not high brow at all, but hits the soul! We enjoyed their Mango Mochi - super soft, powdery and fresh. Along with their shrimp chips which were made from scratch, apparently ingredients do include potato as well! Finally, we had the fish ball, which was huge, and bite felt like a cloud! Luckily we can order them with any sauce we would like - making it easier for our friend with nut allergies to stay clear from the sauces they had nuts! They had about 4 standing tables, making it easier for you to enjoy a bunch of snacks!

Curry fish ball is a very popular HK street food. This store sells jumbo size fish balls with lots of different flavours. You can pick 2 fish balls (of any combination of flavours) for HKD 10. There are English translation for the options too. I would recommend the satay flavour. I will post a video with all the flavours.

Best curry fish balls I’ve ever had. Better than the ones in Tai O fishing village. The feelings of the balls in your mouth and sliding down your throat is truly an otherworldly and pleasurable experience, I actually went back twice for two more balls. Satay flavor was delish. Careful, the spicy curry flavor lingers.

In Cheung Chau, there are lots of places selling HUGE BALLS, oops I mean huge fish balls.

I went to this stall randomly because they had five flavours:

Curry, Green Curry, Satay, Gravy and plain.

I chose the gravy because it was not spicy and had a skewer of offal as well. Fish balls are not really my cup of tea because I often find grounded fish bones in it and there is not more than 10% of fish in the mixture which is why it does not have any fish taste and needs sauces and more MSG in the mixture.

As I was a spoiled brat, the fishballs I had were homemade which had more fish meat than flour in them. Swedish fish balls are better as there is more fish in it. Anyway, the fish balls here were ok, at least they did not contain any bones and they were springy and elastic.

The sauce was sweet and savoury which helped flavour the outside of the fishball and because it was so big by the time you got through to the middle there was no sauce left and it just tastes like the ordinary fish ball with a hint of sweetness but...
