I visited Sai Ying Pun after some outdoor work in the morning and tried to grab a quick bite (late lunch). Went quickly into this local Chinese restaurant inside Sai Ying Pun market just next to MTR exit. There were just a few tables filled as it's a Sunday. Picked a simple fried beef noodle (乾炒牛河) and tea as a benchmark. Disappointed. The beef was like rubber and has no beef taste. The rice noodle was ok, dried enough and did not have too much oil. After 45minutes waiting for food, I finally asked the waitress what happened. In response, the waitress shouted to the kitchen telling them not to care about the quality but simply finished the cooking and brought it out.
