Islet Coffee Lab (Quarrybay) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

I recently visited the shop that received rave reviews, but my experience was underwhelming.

The coffee was overpriced and didn't live up to the high expectations; it lacked the rich flavor I hoped for. The atmosphere felt stuffy, making it uncomfortable to relax. The seating was another letdown—the chairs were too low, making it difficult to enjoy a coffee in anything but casual attire.

Overall, I left quite disappointed, especially given the hype surrounding this place. I expected much more for the price and ambiance. I won’t be returning...

Was looking for a new cafe in Quarry Bay Area and came across this cafe on internet search… difficult to find the cafe is tucked away in the community space near the park… the cafe has a very different chill vibe. The decoration is quite nice but I actually was not that impressed by the coffee they served me…. I found the coffee to be a bit sour/acidic and there was a after taste. The vibe was good in general, the chairs were relatively dirty, food was just normal. The staff were very unfriendly and not welcoming when I asked for a cup of water, which supposed to be very ready available for cafes. The staff looked surprised and eventually picked a cup with defect something at corner of the shop, then gave me that cup of water.

REALLY POOR service and BAD experience that ruined the nice area, never visiting...
