I like the food a lot!

Got the soft shell crab + clam grandpa secret laksa. The soup is excellent with coconut milk and the mixed of vermicelli and oil noodles (油麵)soaks it up. It was not super spicy - if you can eat Toast Box's laksa, this is definitely doable.

I also liked the pandan kaya toast with butter, molten version. It's not too sweet for me (though myabe offset by that bowl of noodles) and the filling inside the toast is very fragrant.

My colleague likes his food as well, but he thinks the portion is a bit small. On the other hand, I find the portion just enough for me after I had the toast ;)

The only reason why I won't be back is because of the long queue, both due to the size of the shop (small) and the amount of people working (2, one as chef and another as server/ drinks prep/cashier). Still, if you happen to be around the area around 2 pm, give it a go. Do note it closes at 3pm and reopens for...

👍🏻Recommend dishes:

✨Fried Soft Shell Crab with Clams, Grandpa's Secret Laksa

The soft shell crab is sizeable and crispy, with delightful crab meat and crab roe as well👍🏻 The laksa is brimming with clam. The secret laksa sauce is wonderfully fragrant and flavourful, leaving one without thirst after finishing the dish. The noodles, comprising egg noodles and rice vermicelli, are well-coated in the broth, providing a pleasant textural experience.

✨Kaya Toast The toast is delightfully crisp and fragrant, with a generous application of butter and kaya. A sinfully delicious treat😋

We ordered the signature crab laksa and the coconut soup noodles. Very authentic laksa and I like that it has mixed noodles (egg noodles and rice vermicelli) and that there is no MSG in the soup.

We ordered both the plum drinks and the pandan coconut water. The drinks are also very nicely done.

The shop is very small and only has 14 covers. Space is tight and there are always people waiting. One would come here for the good food but not to linger to have long chats. Probably tough for big groups as well unless you are prepared to eat at different tables and times. The turnaround of food is...
