Read moreRotiking is the best casual Indian Restaurant in Hong Kong. This is a small joint with an authentic selection of chicken & lamb curries and everything in between. We've probably tried every single dish on the menu and we LOVE every single dish on the menu. Values include their lunch specials most include a curry with rice, a side of salad and a beverage for well under a 100 HKD. Our favorites are their Mango Lassi - the best Mango Lassi we've tried thus far in the World and their Roti paired with their full sized curry. If you don't mind left overs, their curries are an amazing value. If you're in the Decor8/Tai Kok Tsui vicinity please drop on by and try their Mango Lassi - its not too sweet with a little bit of tart and salt with two lumps of hand carved ice. We cannot recommend this beverage enough. Our only criticism is that we want more Mango Lassi every time we've finished our first glass.
Note when you go to this restaurant do not call their flat bread Naan, they are from a particular region and call their's Roti - which is a variant of Naan. We recommend doing this place as takeout. It is a small joint with limited seating. If you're going here during peak hours call them in advance so you don't have to wait.
Note this place is not recommended for large parties. If you are in a rush please call them in advance so that you can pick up the order. It is a small mom & pop shop do not rush them - be patient! You can watch their awesome TV where they play their favorite Indian music videos - very entertaining. We love this place. Highly...
Read moreI've been a long time customer of Roti King back when it was a small shop on Anchor Street. Now that it has moved to the nearby Pine Street with a bigger and more comfy dining area plus more dishes available than before. Its forte is North Indian cuisine, some with a bit of fusion. Many of them are very well cooked. Nice dishes include Tandoori Chicken Legs, Muglai Lamb / Chicken Biryani s (a very opulent take on the regular Biriyani), Bhindi Masala (fresh okra cooked with spices, aromatic and refreshing), Lamb Roganjosh, and much more. It also serves seasonal specialties for Ramadan and Diwali, which is a real plus for if you crave / want to try these types of dishes. Highly recommended and I will be back for...
