Starbucks (One Bay East) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

This Starbucks is found near the lobby G/F of the One Bay East building in Kwun Tong. Access from the Wai Yip Street side of the building is easiest. They have a decent sized seating area and offer up the standard range of coffees, non-coffee drinks and food items. This branch is only open during weekdays, closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Had an afternoon stop here recently. Was served a double espresso that tasted as expected. Also tried the hazelnut claw that wasn't so good. Pastry was really dry and chewy. Have enjoyed flakier, softer versions of this dessert at Starbucks over the years, this was just not that at all. Oh well. It happens sometimes. At least the coffee...

It's typical Starbucks. Modern, clean and comfortable but if you want coffee (or even a snack), walk the 1 minute across the road to One Little Room.

I've never had a good coffee, it's relatively expensive, the food is not fresh. Apart from the decor and seating there is nothing worth coming here for. For those currently rating this place 4/5-stars, do try One Little Room (less than 1 minute away) or even MG Café (5 mins down Hoi Bun Road) instead and see...

I usually always stop by a Starbucks to have my coffee, but this one in HK is NOT on the right standards. I like to come here to take a coffee work on my laptop, but this time I had a ridiculous 30 min wifi after spending more than HK$100. When I asked for another "activation code" I was declined and asked to buy more time.

That's disappointing for someone spending more than $150 per month on this...
