What Da Duck is a relatively new place at The L Place building in Central. They specialise in reasonably priced aromatic crispy duck sets for those who want to enjoy something quick and less formal than eating proper Peking Duck in local restaurants. Opening hours are 12pm to 9pm daily (closed on Mondays). We ordered from What Da Duck for the first time recently and were quite happy with our meal. Delivery arrived in 35 minutes. The crispy duck, cucumber strips, thin pancakes and sauces were packaged nicely. We found all to be rather casual and of pretty good taste. The duck was seasoned and fried well, had a crispy texture, duck was not overly dry but noticeably different to the oily nature of Peking Duck. They also offer four types of sauces. We liked the traditional Hoisen and Plum sauces just fine. Overall, this was a nice order. They have various sizes 1/4, 1/2 and full duck. We found the 1/2 to be fair size to for two people, 3-4 pancakes worth of duck for each of us. 1/4 size would be better for individual orders, the full duck for larger groups. We'll definitely order from What Da Duck again. It is a nice way to try casual, take-away style duck and pancake wraps for those who don't want to commit to a full and more time consuming restaurant experience for Peking Duck.

Superb experience. It is one of many good restaurants in central part of Hong kong. I find it very interesting. The unique part of Hongkong restaurants is that they don't waste space, immediately from the lift door the restaurant starts... it has nice chinese cuisine from dumpling to rice to port to beef. Whatever is your taste buds desires, you can have them here. We went in a group and ordered some drunken chicken, black custard bun, chocolate, oysters, prawns, shrimps dumplings, etc.

Was there at the networking event. Had a class of dumpling cooking , that was a very nice experience. And as for the food itself well there is a room to improve I guess

The L.place is a small high rise building located at the busy Central in Hong Kong. The average area of every floor is tiny. So many non-chained restaurants are available there. Prices of most restaurants are a bit high. But still worth it to go trying. During weekdays, it's extremely busy at the lift lobby. Better to go before 12:30pm if possible. Another great reason to go early is most restaurants offer big discount on whole bill if you finished eating...
