It's a historic stone steps street uphill in the hub of the Central Business District of Hong Kong. Walking up this street makes one imagine how tough life was during the 19th century and early 20th century when people had to walk up and down such a steep hill slope. The steps are very steep, particularly at the entrance on Queen's Road Central. We visited Stone Slab Street (Pottinger Street) and found it overly touristy, congested, and underwhelming. Aside from the iconic stone steps, there wasn’t much to see, mostly small souvenir stalls and costume shops. The area felt crowded and commercialized, lacking authentic local charm.
