Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong provided an unforgettable birthday staycation for my wife Mrs. MAK on 27-28/3/2021.
Thank you so much for the help from manager Mandy as she helped us to make appointments for the kid room and electric kid car session before we checked-in as to avoid from the peak checking-in period. The kid room area was clean and there were many different facilities for my 2-year-old daughter to enjoy her playtime. During the 45-minute, we were the only family occupying the kid room and we did enjoy the time playing with our little child. Even though my daughter was not brave enough to drive the electric kid car, she got on a while for taking photos. I am quite sure that she would drive it during our next visit.
After burning our energy with little Miss MAK, we proceeded to check-in and the process was so smooth and we could go up to experience our first and ever Grand Harbour View Suite in Four Seasons Hotel. My wife and I were so impressed by the stunning sea view when we got into the suite. The beautiful Victoria Harbour surprised us as a drawing hanged outside our room and the sea view could be seen in every corner in the suite. With a bottle of Prosecco, a birthday card from the Executive Club and the tailor-made birthday cake, we could lay on the sofa and enjoy the wonderful sea view. A birthday wish was unexpectedly written on the glass by the hotel staff and my wife felt so warm when she saw this. A set of cookie decoration tools had already been placed on the cupboard and my daughter could enjoy her art time with the tasty brownies prepared in advance by the hotel.
A kid tent was also arranged by the manager Mandy in advance in the living room area. Miss MAK loved to play the jigsaw puzzle in it and she could always hide in the tent when we played hide-and-seek. She also loved the tiny pink slippers, which were soft and comfortable, and the Minions kid toothpaste. She always sat next to the window and had her snacks. It seemed that she loved the sea view too.
Since the 3-course dinner were delivered to our room, we could fully utilize our time in this nice suite. The western dinner sets were yummy and we loved them so much, especially the seabass and the steak rib. The desserts were refreshing and matched with the champagne perfectly.
I loved the big washroom with shower area and bathtub and we could all lay in the bathtub together. Mrs. MAK loved the king size bed and Miss MAK gave up her kid tent and slept with us.
After a night of good rest, we had our buffet breakfasts in the Grand Ballroom, there were a large variety of food and drinks. I especially loved the tailor-made Omelette by order with all the six ingredients. We had our breakfast with window seats and we were so full to taste all the gourmets.
Luckily we had been granted late check-out and we could stay in the room a little bit longer to complete this wonderful experience with the Four Season Hotel Hong Kong. We would definitely return as we could feel the customer-oriented and warm professional services provided the manager...

Summary: View from restaurant: 8/10 (We were window seated. Perfect weather. Perfect sea view) Renovation/Design: 5/10 (Executive floor. Simple and clean. Nothing to comment on) Atmosphere: 5/10 (Quiet, Comfy. Good for gathering with family and friends) Service: 9/10 ( I have food allergy, my friend is pregnant. The attentiveness and service of the staff is valuable. We keep coming mostly because of the service) Food, comment from Tea set perspective, definitely not from lunch and dinner perspective since the level of attentiveness and effort are different (Taste 7/10 Plating 5/10 Ingredient 5/10)
Overall comments: If you are a local HKer, I recommend here for family, friends gathering and for a date. Comfy & relaxing environment so you can enjoy a moment of peace and silence. If you are a tourist, see my comments above, it’s applicable. And you can enjoy the seaview as well. If you had been to quite a few Michelin 3 stars restaurants in HK and around the world like me, this is not a place that you can expect to have fulfilling and surprising dining experience. I will visit this restaurant again because of the excellent service provided by the staff.
Details: As mentioned, Tea set is relatively simple than lunch and dinner. Please don’t expect I have too many details/vocabularies for a rich review. For Savories: Beautifully decorated. I don’t expect ingredients to be fresh in a tea set as I expected in lunch/dinner. Quality of ingredients are fair, not stale. Foie gras not greasy which is of my taste and preference. (See my review for Caprice in FourSeasons, my comment on Foie gras as well)
For Sweets: Muffin in Four Season the Lodge that I had was better that in the executive Floor? Better in a sense of crispy on the outside and soft and warm inside and smell butter and freshly baked? I assume they should be of the same quality and the source should be the same but different? For other desserts, since I am not a fan of sweets, the sweetness of the cheese cake, tart and mousse are balanced. They are good. For Sweets: Muffin in Four Season the Lodge that I had was better that in the executive Floor? Better in a sense of crispy on the outside and soft and warm inside and smell butter. Read moreThe ONLY place to stay in Hong Kong! Haven't been to Hong Kong since 1986 when I was just a teenager and I wanted to make the first experience back with my husband and adult son's the most memorable. I did a lot of research on hotel's across many platforms and decided Four Season's is the one! It exceeded it's Four Season standard of "The Golden Rule!" My husband and I have traveled around the world and have been fortunate to stay in many of the FS properties including the Serengeti, Cairo, Seoul, Sydney, Buenos Aires, as well as a handful in the USA. Let me say, Hong Kong is exceptional! It started with a warm welcome from Ken Lam and Kristy at the front desk. From there, every department from the doorman, to housekeeping, concierge, as well as the service at Argo, and Lung King Heen was not only professional, but done with courtesy, efficiency, upbeat positiveness with a smile! The rooms are beautiful, modern and clean and turn-down service was on point. The location is conveniently located to the Ferry as well as the subway system. We were able to walk through the mall and connect to Soho and Central easily and eat at many local restaurants. Out of curiosity, I visited Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood, Peninsula and Regent and hands-down...Four Season's atmosphere and people felt great - it was our haven after venturing out for the day. A BIG shout out to the Four Season's Team especially to the Guest Service/Concierge team of: Ken Lam, Kristy, Shirley, Glory. Argo Restaurant: Joe, Carrie, Adam and staff. Matthew, James, Arthur - bellhop, and Christopher and Johnson at the airport. Thank you everyone for all the behind scenes of running this hotel. ...
