My group of friends and I had all signed up for the $268/pp "all you can eat steak" and left the restaurant feeling hungry and extremely dissatisfied. Without a doubt the most atrocious dining experience I've ever had. Where do I even begin?
Firstly, what the hell is going on inside the kitchen??? The steaks were clearly not prepped ahead of time (sous-vide to temp, and sear to serve would be the natural response, right?) and led to hilariously bad quality control. Some steaks were huge (undercooked and raw inside), and some were insultingly tiny (somehow still undercooked and raw inside). Their menu offers three choices: hanger, brisket or tri-tip (or ribeye if you shell out the extra cash). The hanger wasn't horrible, but faced the same issues regarding quality control: inconsistent sizing, doneness, etc... We had to send one back three times (how??). The tri-tip was a mess, more often than not being 50% fat cap and 50% meat-so-tough-I-needed-my-friend-to-help-cut-it. And the brisket? Wow, seriously insulting. Two thin, COLD (I repeat, COLD), slices of sub-par meat slapped onto your plate, so you can sit and wait HUNGRY for another 20 minutes after you inevitably finish it in two bites. Truth be told though, my one friend who got the ribeye did enjoy it, so there's that. Regardless, the vast majority of steaks were all gritty, slimy, and were very rarely even palatable.
How about the service? Surely the service is decent, right? Nope. Forget about it. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and oftentimes totally aloof. With about 5 minutes to spare till our ordering window ran out, one of my friends had a mere TWO steaks (remember, "all-you-can-eat"?). Between waiting on the slow kitchen and poor preparation of the steaks themselves, we barely got to eat anything at all and spent most of our time waiting. Naturally, we asked the staff to let us order some more while they prepared (and had been preparing for the past 10 minutes) our previous order. Hard no. And a rude one at that - "we need to cook them on the pans, don't you know!?". And again, these are the same staff who avoided eye-contact and always seemed to be chatting with someone else outside or random customers. Oh and by the way? No tap water. Enjoy your $68 distilled water, sucker. Absurd.
Also and hey, I dunno, maybe this is just me, why are there birds in the restaurant??? Live birds? Who in their right mind lets BIRDS sit one meter away from diners? Or even puts them on another party's table to feed them Coke? This feels like a health code violation to say the least...
It was bad, I mean seriously bad.
I mean really, think about it. Would anybody really dedicate THIS much time and effort to writing a review this long and scathing, unless they SERIOUSLY hated their experience? C'mon.
Don't eat here, seriously. Go to the dozens, no, HUNDREDS of better places in Hong...
Read moreIn preparation for the exciting “all you can eat steak and fries” that was promised I had held off on eating all day. Only to have left the restaraunt unsatiated, as well as have my mood soured by the owner.
There is no reason to not serve tap water, I have been to many fine establishments far superior in service and food quality that will happily serve tap water. It appears to be a shameless cash-grab for thirsty customers consuming the either dry or extremely undercooked steaks.
Food quality: Never before in my life have I seen such a magnificent disgrace of steaks than during my dining experience here. The steaks were either slimy and blue(while somehow remaining tough as nails) or overcooked and borderline black.
The food had to be sent back many many times, and each steak I had tonight was progessively worse. On top of all this the entire meal was overpriced, and i only managed to eat 3 small steaks in the “all you can eat” buffet.
This is also neglecting the fact that by the time it came to our 3rd steaks, they completely stopped putting any fries and veggies.
Service: The owner seemed completely nonchalant and uncaring, at times the staff were actively trying to avoid eye contact to avoid taking orders. When we attempted to order more steaks since we basically were sitting at the table with empty plates the whole night, the owner came up to us and reprimanded us, demanding that we simply could not place orders ahead of what we wanted.
The whole experience was frankly terrible and I would strongly recommend the restaurant spend more of their budget on getting better food, rather than instagram marketing their steaks.
They were clearly not well prepared for a large party of people, yet they accepted our booking. Truly a disappointing experience.
The best part of the meal was a tiny mango juice that was the size of 2 thumbs(60 dollars).
Would not recommend, left the place hungry,...

The food was consistently undercooked and had to be sent back numerous times, including the same steak multiple times as it came back simply charred on the outside and still blue on the inside. Once, after sending it back it came back so atrociously salty it was indelible. To add insult to injury, they do not supply tap water.
During the all you can eat portion, we spent over half the time with empty plates waiting for steak, without the option to request steaks in advance - furthermore during the last 15 minutes of ordering time the staff refused to make eye contact with our table - it was a battle to order food. It really felt like they were trying to avoid having to take more orders.
The service was a hit or miss. There was an eager waiter who, while occasionally getting orders wrong, was lovely and cheerful. The other staff on the other hand refused to accept multiple orders, told us to simply wait after half of our "all you can eat portion" was taken up with an empty plate, and asked us to not send back the food anymore despite it being horrendously cooked.
The long wait times combined with the frequent sending back of orders meant a lot of us leaving the restaurant quite hungry.
Fortunately, there was a dough...
