One of favorite local restaurants in East Tsim Sha Tsui. Came for a simple dinner. Braised grouper and Bitter melon pumpkin we’re good. Because of busy hour, they forgot to serve congee.

Paul, the manager, apologized and promised to make things right on my next visit.

We came again for simple dim sum. The minute I mention Paul’s name, his colleague called him.

Quickly we were seated and started ordering. Paul came and checked to make sure everything is well.

When we are enjoying delicious dim sum, Paul came and gave us a dish, and said “this is on me.”

Everyone was attentive and helpful.

Surprise - friends invited us to dinner and they chose Ho Choi! Again, foods were delicious. It was good to see Paul again. Staff were friendly and fast in taking care of us.

Ordered a set dinner and a extra lemon chicken. Nothing really stood out but one of the dishes was visually stunning, it was the fried prawn balls, beside it was a dragonfruit. I assumed it was fresh fruit but there was dipping sauce inside the dragonfruit for the prawn balls. The prawn balls were covered in thin slices of almond, but after deep frying the almond was saturated in so much oil. The Lemon chicken which I was looking forward to was disappointing! Despite the nice seaview, quality and service are poor overall. The dim sum variety is so limited and food quality is just so so only . For example, the Turnip Cake was so thin and not properly pan-fried and not in proper dressing as well (see photo). Visa Card payment is only limited to traditional card (can not sign electronically, Tap&Go, Goggle Pay, and Apple Pay cannot use).
