We were there celebrating our daughter’s birthday and the staff made a great effort to bring her dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday to her. That was a lovely gesture together with a card and a photo they took of us. We had burrata and crab cake as entree. The burrata was fine, nothing special. We expected the crab cake to have more crab meat and be more flaky rather than mashy and with so much stuffing. It was also a bit fishy. I must admit that the steak we ordered was average in terms of taste. We were disappointed as we were expecting to have the quality of Australian beef. Perhaps the steak could have been a thicker cut. The wine sauce improved it. As sides, we ordered asparagus and chips which were ok. I had a Coconut Rosita expecting it to at least taste like coconut but nothing like it. I didn’t finish it. The tiramisu and the creme brûlée were delicious and nicely presented. I would suggest to give this Australian restaurant more character, definition in style and culture. Also, the noise levels could be managed better by doing some ceilings adjustment or redistribution of tables. I am not sure if I would return...
Read moreI had Wooloomooloo in Singapore and it tasted fantastic, so i had very high expectation coming here. Ordered Wagyu sirloin (the highest quality steak on the menu) and it tasted like a low quality choice steak. Told the waitress and she mentioned that it’s due to the cut of the sirloin steak. I do not agree on this, being wagyu and wet aged, it should taste very tender. She did service recovery which is commendable to offer me a change of steak of my choice. Changed to a black angus ribeye, the steak was ok this time round (not fantastic) but there were zero seasoning on the steak it tasted like this boiled in water. Both steak lack the searing texture that Wooloomooloo advertised, both tasted very normal like any other steak house. Overall would not recommend this place, nice service good ambience but the food is really lacking, really disappointed coming here. Will definitely not...
