Checked out another popular dining spot at Rosewood Hotel with my fam. You will be surrounded by food and dessert bar once you stepped in. We could browse around to look at the food before we placed our order.
The ambiance is more casual and quite noisy at peak hours so it might not be an ideal place for a romantic date night. Yet the service was still attentive even though the waiters were very busy.
* Polpo e olive (Octopus Olive Salad)** I’ve been eyeing this antipasto for a long time and it lived up to my expectation. The octopus was bouncy and tender with tangy refreshness from the olives.
* Burrata di Andria* MVP of the night. My jaw dropped when I saw that GIANT BURRATA. I was obsessed with the creamy center, and the burrara served as the perfect accompaniment to the the savorness of prosciutto.
* Carciofini (Roasted Artichokes) Delicious artichoke hearts immersed in extra virgin olive oil.
* Rigatoni alla Carbonara When I did my research, everybody got the carbonara. The diced crisped bacon was roasted to golden hue and the fatty part was bursting with sharo salty aroma. Even it wasn’t drown in a pool of creamy cheesy sauce, it was heavenly for the first bite but halfway through I struggled to finish it.
* Diavola (Spicy Pepperoni Pizza)** They offer around 10 different roman pasta by the slice. The pepperoni was pretty spicy but added a bold flavor. The dough carried a foccacia-like fluffiness and crispy edges.
* Baccala alla Romana (Tomato Black Cod) It was like Chinese style cooked fillet poured with tomato sauce, and too fishy.
* Milk Chocolate and Orange Éclair, Tiramisu Sadly we booked the last round (20:00) so some of the viral desserts (like pistachio cannoli) were sold out. The tiramisu was just average — very heavy and our party of 4 couldn’t...
Read moreI have dined at bluhouse a few times now and I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant due to unprofessional behavior from the staffs on 28/05/25 evening. The service was slow and inattentive, with staff showing no courtesy to address concerns. However, the sommelier was quite nice to help us with the pairings. It took awhile for the water to be served, The lady manager named "Trina" i guess took our first round of order to start with she replied ok and made a face while leaving our table (dont know why exactly) probably because we asked for some breads to go along with the artichokes and olives that we had ordered, unfortunately she served us only 2pcs of the sourdough which was quite shocking we didn't end up ordering the mains after this kind of attitude and racism. The worst part of all was when our order arrived the hostess served on the corner of our table and we had to bring the plates towards us!!!
Overall, the combination of poor service and unsatisfactory food significantly impacted our dining experience. Once i addressed these issues to the "lady manager" she replied oh i am so sorry ill get you some more bread like i wasn't even talking about the bread in that moment, it's a shame such a respectable and reputed place can behave like this towards guests.
There was also another manager who was standing beside her and they both seemed disinterested to even be slightly bothered. Upon payment she even asked "so do you want any dessert?" There definitely should be a certain way to speak with guests as i believe this is not a Cha chaan teng! I have also dined here a few times earlier and inspite of the outdoors being empty we are yet on a waitlist which doesn't really make a lot of sense. Overall 1/5...
Read moreLove Mortadella in BluHouse the Dinning Room super yummy one haa
Bluhouse having pretty large room, it’s divided into two areas, including the bar area and dinning area, the whole environment is so relaxing , i like the large light bulbs hanging on the you can walk to the cooking area and see which dishes you like so cool, and it’s easier to choose what to eat when i know how they look before ordering haaa
We tried two flavors of pizza, one is mortadella, another is Guanciale, first one is super good but second is pretty disappointing
Mortadella, making of “Bologna Mortadella”, Burrata Cheese, Pistachio is so goood, such a nice recommendation by the waiter thankyou haa, super lovely one we’ve had, i usually don’t like cold ham, but this italian luncheon doing good job with cheese and pistachio sauce, soso yummy, one piece seems not enough for me haa, mortadella tastes good with chewy texture
Guanciale, making of seasonal mushrooms, cured pork jowl, caramelized onion is pretty disappointing, the taste is not matching my stomach and there’re too many leaves on top, so the texture is like soaring dry vegetables sad, really wrong choice for us
Mezzi Paccheri AI Frutti Di Mare with prawn, octopus, mussels, clams, squids and cuttlefish, having strong tomatoes sauce and fresh seafood but i’d say it’s better having softer paccheri
The food quality is pretty good with lovely environment even our table is in the middle, so there’re many ppl crossing around, honestly a bit annoying, but i like the whole setting in Bluhouse, it’s beautiful, grand, and relaxing environment, with a bit of romantic feeling, but sad didn’t try the dessert this time crycry
