Among all starters, beef tartare is truly special. WHAT? raw beef topped by an egg yolk? I can almost feel your skepticism. No worries, tossed with COOKED egg yolk puree and served alongside crisp toast, made even wary tartare eaters like us asking for more. With each bite, we consider another.👍 ~ ~ Special applause goes to the Brandt Ranch #Tomahawk. We were salivating just looking at it. It arrived medium rare, juicy and tender. We all cant help for asking extra slices to satisfy 😋. I had 3 slices some even ate 5 slices. Addictive.
To wrap up our meal, we tried a selection of Henry’s indulgent desserts. The baked Alaska with peanut butter ice cream, banana and condensed milk under a flame definitely caught our eyes immediately. I have fallen in its sour kick from the fruit extract. A meal cant be complete without choco dessert. We got hit with the choco fondant coupled with pretzel milk ice cream. Satisfyingly rich and chocolatey!! I even wiped the dish clean with the help of the cake from baked Alaska🤣 You may worry bout taking in too much sugar, just serve yourself a small portion, and savor every bite! 😋

I was delighted to know that the burrata was pasteurised (cause I’m pregnant). Not the best burrata I’ve had but it’s alright. The tomatoes were also good but also not the best I’ve had. The sea urchin I was told tasted more like the fishy sea type than the sweet type.
My husband’s medium rare wagyu tenderloin was cooked beautifully and tasted great.
I enjoyed my mushroom risotto although it was more like cheesy risotto (couldn’t finish it cause the portion was huge and it’s a very heavy dish).
I really liked most of the side dishes! (They range from HKD60-100 each I think) The best would be the charred asparagus and sweet potato fries, although the fries could have been crispier.
The corn was pleasant, it didn’t really add that much value to my meal’s enjoyment, could have done with or without. It did have some interesting crunchy deep fried corn kernels on the top.
And the lobster Mac and cheese wasn’t up to expectations. I think it was around ~HKD280 (?), it also had the same crunchy corn kernels on it. My mushroom risotto was much cheesier and creamier in comparison. The Mac and cheese had a more Mexican, southern twist to it. Nonetheless, I didn’t really like it, especially if I compared it to the other side dishes.

My meal began with baked oysters, a superb choice. The oysters were masterfully prepared, delivering a harmonious combination of fresh ocean flavor and delicate creamy notes. Each bite was a treat to the palate.
The highlight of the meal was the tenderloin. The steak was impeccably cooked, featuring a crispy exterior and a juicy, tender interior. The beef was of top-notch quality, and the seasonings and sauces perfectly complemented the meat, enhancing its natural flavors.
What truly stood out was the dessert. Although it wasn’t listed on the day’s menu, the restaurant manager Neil went out of their way to create a special dessert corn crème brulee just for me. This personalized gesture was incredibly heartwarming. The dessert was exquisite, wrapping up the meal on a high note.
I must also express my gratitude to the manager Neil and his team members who came to our table for their wonderful service. Their attentiveness and care added a special touch to the day, making it even more enjoyable.
