Bushra — Restaurant in Kowloon

I had the misfortune of visiting Bushra recently and I have to say that I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The first thing that stood out to me was the tasteless vegetarian food. I ordered a few dishes off the menu and none of them tasted good.

On top of that, the prices at Bushra are high! I don't mind paying extra for quality food, but when it's tasteless, it's just not worth it. The portions were also small and definitely not worth the exorbitant prices.

The sheesha experience was hands down the worst I've ever had. We had ordered a premium sheesha. It was clear that the staff didn't know how to make a good sheesha or take care of their equipment.

Oh, and let's not forget about the drinks - they were not up to the mark either. I ordered a couple of mocktails and both of them tasted too sweet and just ok. It was disappointing to say the least.

Unacceptable service! I don’t recommend anyone visit this restaurant! very disappointed Service!! I reserved a table from Openrice. I ordered a Family brunch menu(12-3pm). First of all , I ordered a starter Come first and told the staff i will order the main once my friend arrive. When i done all food, i told the staff i want order a dessert (on brunch menu +48). At the end , i check the bills and asked the staff why the dessert was charged $138?? I was ordered the brunch menu. The staff replied me the my order time is after 3pm and he already remind me. In fact , he “ never “ “never” remind me when i take the order 5 Times!!! And the words on dessert is very ugly . Came here on a weekend which they were serving a family brunch option for $208 per person. The menu included a sharing appetizer platter and a choice of main.

Appetizers was phenomenal! All the different dishes had it’s unique flavor and portion allowed you to taste each different appetizers in comparison if you were ordering from the ala carte menu.

For the main we had the vegetable and fish tagine, both tasted different and was unique in it’s own flavor. Our favorite was the lamb skewer, the rice was flavored and the lamb had a hint of gaminess which I personally enjoyed.

Dessert we opted for a portion of baklava which 4 pieces was provided. However taste was a bit sweater than my liking and the pastry wasn’t flaky enough.

Overall really great authentic food for a really good price. The only con is that it’s an open space so there is no air conditioning which gets a little hot during the summer. Also water machine is broken so you need to purchase water by the bottle...
