our server was very informative and helpful, cheerful & helped us select our oysters from all that they can offer.
In the end, went for Scottish rock, Fuga (Japan), gold premium (Ireland) and they were all superb and decently priced for the deal with a glass of wine. House white was delish with oysters
EVERYTHING we ordered from the (extensive) menu was done without a fault - they were all perfectly made, presented well, and the temperature and textures right:
Caesar salad: every bit of salad was crisp, bacon was heavenly... for a salad that's usually an afterthought, I would come here just for this!) Crab meat & scallop fettuccine - would happily have this every week. lots of umami, aldente just perfect...! Wild mushroom risotto Spanish duck breast Tiramisu: so-so
Overall, nothing can be faulted - only the desert. Theres not that many choices and you can tell they don't make them in-house, nor probably get them delivered daily?
It was nice to sit on the wide alleyway, quiet and calm. Felt almost* like being in europe with their above-average music playlist on.

From the moment we walked in, everything about this restaurant felt warm and welcoming—but what truly made our evening unforgettable was our waiter, Dennis. He was attentive without being intrusive, genuinely kind, and had a way of anticipating exactly what we needed before we even asked. It’s rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in their service and does it with such grace and professionalism.
Dennis made us feel like VIPs the entire evening. He explained the menu with passion, offered thoughtful recommendations (which turned out to be spot on), and checked in just the right amount. You could tell he actually cared about making our dining experience special—not just getting the job done.

Maybe it is not a surprise that the best oyster place we have been to is this very unassuming place on Mody Road in Hong Kong. „Open Oyster“ offers 32 totally fresh oysters from around the world. Not the usual Fines de Claire No 2 which are small and salty and are on everybody’s menu. No! meaty, tasty and extremely versatile oysters, all of considerable size, are offered here. We totally indulged in this. The wines accompanying were good. If you do drink a Pinot Noir with oysters, make sure it is chilled.
