Alice & Wonderland Bubbly Brunch is FIVE STARS

During my last trip to Hong Kong I told myself I wanted to enjoy a true Hong Kong brunch, which people all over Hong Kong go all out for on Sundays. Let me tell you that I was not disappointed and I was delighted I got the chance to experience this amazing brunch at one of my favorite hotels in Hong Kong.

This brunch was unlike anything I had ever experienced anywhere in the world. I love brunch and for me experiencing an ‘Alice and Wonderland’ themed brunch with this level of food and service was nothing short of amazing. The décor throughout the buffet is over the top with the bright colored displays, little pink luggage, pumpkins, cat statues, dish displays and the attention to detail on every level throughout makes the experience that much more memorable. The food displays throughout are amazing and work perfectly with the whimsical theme throughout bringing the brunch to the next level.

Now for the food OMG what a spread the W definitely knows how to do brunch right. You will find anything and everything your heart desires. Offering a good variety of food for all tastes, from a few pre made salads to a full salad bar, a fruit bar, various hot dishes (dim sum, make your own noodle bowls, sushi, pasta and a carving station, along with some more Western style dishes) gluten free option, a bread bar and so much more. If you love seafood this brunch buffet is definitely for you, they have everything you could ask for, big fresh lobsters, oysters, crab legs, Caviar, Smoked and Salmon. The seafood layout was honestly one of the most extravagant I had ever seen in a buffet setup. The nice thing about the buffet is you also don’t need to worry about filling your dish up right of the bat, out of fear of missing out. They constantly replenish the buffet and it always look as fresh as it did the first few minutes. For me this is key when you are spending as much as we did on an amazing brunch.

Overall my review is, this buffet surpassed all my expectation. The food, service and overall design/layout were amazing. The W Hong Kong is one of my favorite hotels in the world and there Sunday Bubbly brunch did not disappoint. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Hong Kong looking to experience a unique, luxurious brunch. Don’t forget the free flowing champagne, it goes oh so well with the seafood buffet. To anyone asking is it worth the hefty price tag to enjoy the Bubbly Brunch when you get to experience the regular breakfast. I have the answer for you; yes it is worth the money. The regular breakfast buffet is fabulous don’t get me wrong its better than most breakfast I have ever experienced at any hotel in the world, but the Brunch is at a whole other level with its champagne and seafood offering which is honestly what your paying for. So if you are questioning whether or not to make the leap and go all out for the Alice Wonderland Bubbly Brunch, go for it and you will...

My dining experience at the W Hotel buffet was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking view that accompanied the meal. The panoramic scenery through the large windows created a serene and luxurious atmosphere, making the dining experience all the more memorable.

However, it wasn’t just the view that stood out. The staff at W Hotel went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. Their friendliness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Whether it was recommending dishes or simply checking in to see if we were enjoying ourselves, they consistently provided top-notch service without being intrusive.

The buffet itself offered an impressive variety of high-quality dishes, catering to all tastes and preferences. Every bite reflected the care and attention that went into the preparation of the food, and the presentation was impeccable. The fusion of flavors and the freshness of the ingredients were truly commendable.

Overall, this dining experience was one I won’t soon forget. The combination of a stunning view, exceptional food, and outstanding service made it a standout meal. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury...

Choices are limited, and a few dishes are only served once during the entire night, It also limited per person, and draws a line up as a "cow bell" is rung to hurry the crowd.... Typical dish like "ha guawl" (stream shrimp dumpling) is out half the night because the kitchen decided to stream a dozen? each time??

It was Christmas dinner, but no Santa?? No Christmas decor on table? no noise maker? No presents for kids?

One of the larger party was complaining, and they have a few valid points;

They had 20-30 people, they said they booked early, paid in advance, requested window-side, but was given back end tables, separated into 3 rows in 4 to 5 tables...

They ended up settling for 2 rows 3 table, but maybe the manager intentionally gave them a hard time... They were placed where the servers would bring all the dirty dishes, they had kids, maneuvering around was certainly entertaining (for us)...

I feel like I was at a buffet in Reno

The food (what's available) are decent

But this is the W... Everything negative mentioned above...

Worst buffet ever - A complete disaster that ruins my weekend. Technically, we were choosing among rubbish. The choice of seafood was very limited, noddles was half cooked, the lamb... oh... the way they over cooked it would render the sacrifice of the animal pointless! Melons were cut as big the marbles that used for building Taj Mahal! I wondered if they have seen human with mouth in normal size. Those sushi were like rubber, tasteless, oh gosh! As if they were some synthetic products from food lab or from somewhere gross. The moment they asked me for an upgrade to a package with free flow Champagne for an extra HKD428, I really felt like WTH... This place was as noisy as Mongkok, not any place in Mongkok, but the busking area where those crazy nannies sang loudly in crazy costumes and laughing with stupid dance! Also, the staffs were very insensitive to the environment, to the extent that they thought I would continue eating a messy noodles even I explicitly put tissue paper in it. 🤔
