We felt like we walked into a restaurant run by the local gangster (黑店)!
My friends from oversea ordered a 12 person set menu (around HK$14000) before the rest of us arrived. We tried to cancel (or amend) it since we only had a party of 9, they refused and claimed all the food has been prepared which is total BS since it has only been less than 3 minutes and they have been told not to start serving until everyone has arrived (only 3 out of 9 arrived). We tried to talk and reasons with a gangster looking like 主任 and he gave us really bad attitude, walking away from us without finishing the conversation. The GM came (also gangster looking) to avoid escalating the situation but he has also shown some attitude as well. In the end, he acknowledged that only 2 out of 12 dishes has been prepared (salad and a fish) and letting us amend the menu.
Back to the food, it was way overpriced. Very common Cantonese but we paid for HK$1300 per person (with only 2 bottle of white, 480 per bottle) in the end. There is so much other better choices within this price range. In additions, the seating was really cramp and noisy, is a very common local restaurant trying to be upscale but failed by hiring the wrong staff and have the...
Read moreWas there with my mom and helper for lunch this afternoon. My mom was on wheelchair. Ushering in was pleasant as the stuff helped to pave the way. Once seated, was served by one of the male waiter (in a black vest). After making orders for our lunch, I asked for a plate of chili oil from this waiter, he says we have to pay HKD20, which is fine with me but his tone sounded like I can't afford the plate of chilli oil! While attending to us, I noticed that his tone of voice was different (more rough and less courteous) as compared to serving those in office attire. When leaving our table after lunch, he was quite rough and asked us (my mom on wheelchair) to squeeze through the narrow space without even bothering to push aside the chairs until I asked him to do so. I don't expect this kind of service from this grade of restaurant. An advice for those on/ or with someone on wheelchair and not in office attire to think twice to patronize such a place to avoid the...

Saw a few reviews regarding the unfriendly and rude staff but fortunately didn’t receive the same experience, the main staff handling our table was pretty friendly and patient. However we did get rushed out by other staff towards the end so can see other customers getting the shorter end of the stick.
Dim sum was pretty good, they have specials unique to their restaurant that add a touch to your normal dim sums to give it a unique edge.
The cha siu and black pepper beef dish was the star of the show for me, the worst was the tarts which we had to wait 20 minutes for but to be honest it was super small and lacklustre compared to the ones you can find elsewhere at a fraction...
