Mixed Experience at Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant, Hong Kong

I recently dined at Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant in Hong Kong and had a mixed experience. Let's start with the positives. The service was excellent, and the quality and portion sizes of the food were commendable.

However, the decor left much to be desired. It felt outdated and in need of a refresh. The restroom was particularly disappointing, being one of the smallest I've ever encountered, with limited space to move around and outdated fixtures.

In summary, while Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant excels in service and food quality, it's evident that the infrastructure is in desperate need of an upgrade. Hopefully, the management takes note and invests in modernizing the restaurant for a more enjoyable...

Koh-i-noor Restaurant The Gem of Indian Cuisine, Hong Kong

This was our first dinner in Hong Kong and was very amazing but it took us time to look for the place as the sign showed the opposite way whereas it was just off the south end of Nathan road. We found this gem hidden on the first floor of the Peninsula Apartment Building. Walking through the pharmacy in the Mody road, close to Holiday Inn Hotel.

Warm welcome, very friendly and excellent services. Our order was served and was warm enough as it was placed over hot burners. The servings were big and two people could share easily. We had ordered appetizers, main dish and desert as well which were outstanding, tasty and authentic!

Highly recommend Koh-i-Noor restaurant when visiting Hong Kong. R. Essa,...

Met with friends of friends in HKG, and they suggested this place. The elevator to the entrance, which is on the 1st floor did look a bit dodgy, but the ambience in the restaurant was great. Food was even better ! The butter naan, roti and the rumaal roti were great. I eat naan like once a year or something like that, and am not really a fan, but this naan was excellent. We also had the gravied okra and dhall dish. I'd say the okra trumped the dhall. And not forgetting dessert, we had the kulfi & gulab jamun. Loved it. The food was a little pricey though, but hey, it's ok to splurge once in a while. Try this place. It's directly...

The hardest part is finding the entrance, which is up some stairs at the back of a Chinese Medicine shop just before the corner with the big green “Ko-i-Noor” sign (when you’re coming from Tsim Sha Tsui Station to the west). Excellent North Indian food. The spiciness of even the “mild” curry attests to the authenticity of the food. Mango lassi and saffron rice were great, filling companions to the butter chicken. The staff are friendly and interesting to talk to if it’s not busy. There are also two TVs that were good for watching the World Cup.

Lovely place. The owner is very nice and attentive every time when I go there. The food is very good. I'll probably say this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Hong Kong. (The other one I like is in Hong Kong Island, the price is higher and the staff are not as nice...Moody mostly so depending on your luck) Anyway, this place is very underrated, perhaps it's the location but I guess frequent customers will always come back when they are craving for Indian. Recommend the Indian fried rice and nearly all types of curry.
