🖤好食 (quality):😋😋😋😋😋 🤍環境 (environment): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🤎服務 (service): 💗💗💗💗💗
Ready for some yummy comfort food, good vibes and live music all found in one place? 😳I have got the best place for you in Hong Kong, come check this out! 🫵🏻 Lost stars livehouse bar & eatery serves unique western dishes for both lunch and dinner. They have lunch/dinner sets that include appetizer, main course and dessert! 🤩Depending on the set, the drink could also be free or else, you could upgrade the set to get a drink (tea, mocktails, soda..etc). For certain items on the set, you will need to upgrade to get it. I got the chance to try their dinner set this time and not gonna lie, all of their selections were tempting me😅, this time I got:
🍅Appetizer - Soup of the Day 🍅 Their soup of the day was tomato & vanilla soup. This was one of my favourite dish, tomato taste really stood out, the taste between savoury, sourness and sweetness was perfectly balanced. 🌞The vanilla added a spark of creamy taste to it which I love! 🤍
🥖Appetizer - Toast with Duck Liver Paste 🥖 The toast surprised me, it was crunchy and the sauce on top carried my taste buds away as the sauce was quite strong. It is definitely a great appetizer to share between two. 😆
🍝Main Dish - Slow cooked oxtail linguine in tomato sauce 🍝 The pasta really satisfied my cravings for pasta, why? Their tomato sauce based was only mildly sour and with the help of tomato chucks, it was so yummy! 🤪The slow cooked oxtail was also perfectly cooked, really satisfying! 🤤
🥩Main Dish - Roasted pork Rack (require upgrade) 🥩 Okay, this is definitely a must try! It is only a 25$ upgrade and you get to eat this yummy dish. The meat was perfect and the highlight is the combinations of this dish! 👈🏻The meat was topped with sour cream and pistachio (YUM). 😊On the side, there were grilled apples, sweet potatoes and apple puree. 😳I recommend cutting out a piece of pork, get an apple slice and dip it in the apple puree! It was a fresh combination and I kept wanting to go back for more! 🥺🥴
🤤Dessert - Today’s Pastry 🤤 Their pastry of the day was brownie, the chocolate flavour was very rich! 🤩I would personally like it more if they have some chocolate chunks in it though! 🥲
🧀Dessert - Basque Burnt Cheesecake 🧀 The cheesecake was rich in cheese and creamy flavour! I personally would like it better if it was smoother! 🤪
🫖Tea - Beeeee Calm 🫖 Oh my, you gotta try this tea, it was so comforting as it has a very delicate flower scent after drinking it! They could add more water after you finish a cup! 😆
🍋Mocktail - Green Rose Tea Lemonade 🍋 The lemonade really stood out for this drink, it was a little sour in my liking! 🥺It was quite refreshing though, perfect to drink after having some yummy carbs and meat! 😃
Their service was friendly and efficient! 🤩The interior of the restaurant is so pretty, you could take some nice picture here! I think it was such a vibe to come here for dinner. 🤪There is also a stage that live band could perform which I find such a vibe! Make sure to check it out!🤍
Thank you for the great hospitality and...
Read moreBad experience at this restaurant. Was searching for kids friendly live band restaurant and this place came out. Decided to book & try it.
Reached at 6.15pm and it was closed despite google timing indicated it was open. We were not the only group that did not know they only opened at 6.30pm. I was with 2 young children and I asked the staff if I could bring them along. The staff said yes, but gave us a high table seat. I asked to change to lower seat but was told that it was fully booked. I accepted the table but it was so difficult for my 3 yo child to eat. The couple seated beside us requested to change to a lower dining table and was allowed.
We were told that there was a minimum spending required. We have to order 1 main course and 1 drink per adult, 1 snacks and 1 drink per child. It was not stated on the menu. The dining time was only from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, last order for food was at 7.15pm. No exiting of premise when the live band starts at 7.30pm till 8.30pm. This was the first time I had been to a restaurant with so many rules. We abided to it and spent almost HKD$2000.
When the live band (1 singer/guitarist & 1 pianist) started, the crowd was quiet. It was stressful as you could not talk to your friends/families. My child was asked to keep quiet several times by a customer sitting beside me despite her soft voice. The customer was very unhappy. This was totally ridiculous. If this restaurant does not welcome children, it should have stated it. I would definitely not bring them to “disturb” the performance. My children even ordered main courses and drinks.
This whole experience was absurd. Please do not bring children to this restaurant. It is not kids friendly at all. The food was not fantastic. The...
Read moreThe best and most valuable part of lost star is the live band at Friday and weekends night, otherwise the food is just average. Each customer must order a main/2 starters/a starter and a dessert and a drink, so you will expect around hkd400 per head. The waiters are trying their part to serve the customers. The live band starts at around 8:30 and all services will be suspended during that time. The parma ham salad is pretty nice, with figs, tangerines and caramelised pecan. Good texture and perfect mixture of balsamic and sesame sauce. The black truffle and portobello risotto is fairly ok. The mushroom-y flavour isn’t as intense as I thought. The chicken roll is a bit disappointing. The crust isn’t crispy and the chicken meat is a bit dry. I can’t taste the ham and cheese inside. The buttery garlic sauce and the mashes potato is quite nice though. The portion of the tiramisu is rather small given it is costly. The mascarpone cheese is proportionally less than the lady fingers. The craft beer is pretty bland to my taste. Overall, the live band and the vibe is the reason why people would like to visit...
