Make the reservation sometime back and got the whatapp text 2 week ago to confirm the reservation and to inform there is min spending of HKD650/pax.. which was fine.
Upon arriving today at 5.45pm.. saw a lady staff I suppose, standing at the entrance, holding a plate of pasta and start eating??? At the entrance? Not very nice isn’t it?
Pass the lady and walk straight into the restaurant and was bring in to the seat follow by asking if we like to have sparking or still water, hence we choose still water. Only about 2 tables of guest at that point of time. 6pm we are ordered the festive set dinner menu.
6.05pm Appetizer was serve, after we had done in 10mins. 630pm pasta were then serve… and we also within 10mins 638pm first main course was serve and my partner had down it within 6min as the portion were not big. 6.45pm 2nd main course was then serve and my partner was done and looking at me having my meal.. 6.54pm both dessert was serve. 7.04pm paid and left……
From what I had observe.. firstly other tables was being ofter not just speaking or still water, there option of just ice water.
Secondly there isn’t min spending on other table as the one behind me only order 2 paste and 1 dessert. I’m very sure it won’t hit hkd650 for sure. Hence I’m puzzle the rules only apply to foreigner?
thirdly the pasta took about 15mins long to serve and the main wasn’t serve together and one had to eat and wait and then watch and wait kinda felt awkward.
other then the sea urchin tagliolini and tiramisu was great, cod was fresh, braised Chianti beef was soft but mussel wine sauce was too salty, tortellini and ranettone was normal/below average.
Quite disappointing meal for the big price tag. As feature; Hong Kong first Italian signboard is kinda waste of ‘fame’. Seeing it feature as oldies/ vintage, hence came all the way to try and had a higher...
Read moreIf I could give a negative star, I would. I usually never write reviews, but this place was so bad that I have too. There was not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but more than 5 instances of poor service and food quality in one seating. (Wish they put this many pieces of sausage on the pizza..will get into that later.) We entered into the well decorated restaurant excited for some delicious Italian cuisine. We sat down and ordered 4 dishes: pizza, pasta, salad, and chicken. From here, everything just went downhill. First of all, we ordered a salad and they didn't bring that out for 30minutes...its a salad? Our first main dish took a whole hour to come out. This dish also happened to be raw chicken (maybe it came first because they forgot to cook it!) It caused me to get stomach cramps the next day. The pizza and pasta took over an hour to come out. To make matters worse, the pizza was the wrong pizza. It took another 20 minutes for the next correct pizza to come out...turns out that pizza was also the wrong pizza. They claimed it was the right pizza, but it was supposed to have sausages and I can guarantee there were no sausages. Ended up just eating it because we didn't want to wait anymore. Also, we had to remind them of our pasta dish, they totally forgot to start cooking it. On top of everything they still charged a service fee and didn't offer us anything complementary to compensate us for our grievances, with a rude attitude to boot! The only saving grace of the night was being able to tell potential pedestrians outside the restaurant not...
