This little unassuming restaurant receives all 5 star ticks. Travelling worldwide and being a lover of Japanese sushi, this is our "go-to" sushi restaurant in Hong Kong. You might ask why? Sushi is easy to find in just about every city, however, am fussy on freshness, particularly when it's sushi or sashimi. Here I find the rice is fresh and that's a big factor for me, as well as of course, the raw fish which I do prefer it served well chilled. The food here is wonderfully fresh and prepared upon ordering much like a sushi bar.
The restaurant decor is aged and humble. The owners are kind and delightfully polite and always ensure the food is served well. We visit good restaurants in other cities such as London, however, this one exceeds them well and truly on freshness. They certainly deserve this review.
One of our favorite dishes there, particularly on a hot day, is their own dish - salmon salad. Raw salmon served a super chilled crisp iceberg lettuce leaves, dressed with what tastes like balsamic vinegar finished with springling Wasabi dressing. Gorgeous and refreshing before enjoying their freshly prepared...
Read moreI love the salmon sashimi most. Thick and rich in texture. Only HK$84 for 1 lb. With additional 10% is HK$92.40. The set lunch and tea set are reasonably priced, too. My friend and i had tea sets there. One is cooked salmon rice with soup in one bowl, hot milk tea HKD31 on Friday and HKD33 on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays. One is Chicken Ramen with hot lemon water. Also is HKD31. The whole meal with an additional one pound sashimi is quite a lot for us (ladies). Can add appetizers, dessert and special drinks if not enough in a discount. This shop also provides sushi, rice, tempura, ramen, udon, sashimi, appetizers...
Read moreThis Japanese restaurant has been around for over 20 years. I used to quite enjoy eating here as a child. I remember the owner saying he trained in Japan, but as I grew up, I realised the food here isn't authentic Japanese cuisine at all. The ramen tastes like instant ramen from the supermarket, and the sashimi is far from fresh. Honestly, if you really trained in japan, your japanese mentor would probably be absolutely seppuku himself after seeing your...
