ad Zero chill suite tour of Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong?! 🥹 It’s not every day I check into a 5 star hotel and this is certainly not the lifestyle I grew up with, so even though I’m incredibly grateful to be staying here for work, I’m not going to pretend this is an every day occurrence for me. And as we all know by now, I have zero cool and zero chill so let’s all get stupidly excited together and let me show you a tour of my LUXURY SUITE at one of the highest hotels in the world. First up, incredible attention to detail. The curtains opened up as I walked in to reveal a welcome sign and a giant HANDWRITTEN CARD from The Ritz-Carlton team with a cut out photo of my face (!!) as well as a spread of Hong Kong milk tea, pastries and snacks. Each room and suite has incredible panoramic views 490 metres above sea level overlooking Hong Kong’s skyline and Victoria Harbour. If there wasn’t so much to do, eat and enjoy in Hong Kong, I would’ve stayed here all 24 hours with this view. Having the entire king sized bed to myself was a treat but can we take a moment to appreciate this beautiful bathroom complete with a TV in the bath tub. As part of our rooms, we had access to the Club Lounge on the 116th floor with dedicated concierge, a Club Car limousine drop-off within the Kowloon area and 5 daily courses served throughout the day. Ooh ooh, I couldn’t leave without a morning swim from one of the highest swimming pools in the world! There are lounging double beds overlooking the view, jacuzzi, plunge pools and a fully equipped gym. Food wise, I’ve got a separate video coming from dining at two Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant Tin Lung Heen with the legendary Cantonese executive chef Paul Lau, but there are also five other dining venues including one Michelin-starred Italian at Tosca and drinks and small plates from Ozone - one of our favourite places in this entire trip and our most frequented spot for a nightcap before diving back into bed. @discoverhongkong @ritzcarltonhongkong #discoverhongkong #hellohongkong #hongkongtravel #hotelroom #luxurytravel #ritzcarlton #ritzcarltonhongkong #5starhotel #luxuryhotelsoftheworld #hktravel

Last Sunday, my wife and I celebrated a family occasion with a sumptuous lunch at Tosca Di Angelo, nestled on the 102nd floor of the iconic International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong. Securing a window-side spot added a touch of magic to our experience, providing panoramic views of the city that perfectly complemented the culinary spectacle we were about to embark upon. The interiors of Tosca Di Angelo are a captivating blend of metal, glass, and marble, creating a glitzy garden anchored by a graphic marble floor, pillars, and two fountains. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the large open kitchen where the Sicilian virtuoso, Chef Angelo Agliano, orchestrates his culinary symphony. The restaurant's Michelin star status is well-deserved, and Chef Angelo's dedication to showcasing the refined flavors of the Mediterranean is evident in every dish. Our culinary journey commenced with a warm welcome from Director Danilo Nicoletti and his attentive team. They guided us through an exquisite set of welcome snacks, each bite a miniature masterpiece. The Mediterranean tuna mignon, Breton Blue Lobster Terrine, and Tartelette with fennel cream were delightful, and the seamless replacement of the Tartelette due to my cucumber intolerance showcased their thoughtful service. The 4-course weekend menu, priced at HKD 1038 (USD130), offered a curated selection for each course. An amuse bouche of Mazara prawn tartare with fennel and celery emulsion set the tone for what was to come – a delicate dance of flavors that showcased Chef Angelo's skill and respect for ingredients. To complement our meal, we chose two wines by the glass: Etna Bianco, Arcuria, Graci 2021, and Pacher Hof, Sylvaner Alte Reben Riserva, 2019. Etna Bianco was a definite must, inspired by the chef's Sicilian roots. Crafted from Carricante, an ancient Sicilian white grape variety thriving on the volcanic slopes of Mt. Etna for over a millennium, this wine unfolds delicate notes of honeysuckle, broom, brimstone, and a hint of stone fruit. Contrastingly, Pacher Hof hails from Alto Adige, situated in the northern reaches. Made exclusively with 100% Sylvaner grapes, a varietal synonymous with Alsace, this wine presents clear and alluring aromas of white fruit and freshly plucked flowers, accompanied by subtle hints of sweet spices. The palate experience is refined, savory, fresh, intense, and marked by a distinct mineral character. The shared starters, Mediterranean Octopus with Cannellini Beans and Brittany Blue Lobster were both exceptional. The octopus was tender, enhanced by the Iberian Papada, while the lobster was a symphony of flavors with Puntarelle Salad, Capers, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, and Coral sauce. Moving on to pasta, the Risotto Aquerello with Uni Sea Urchin and Mezzi Paccheri Mancini with Sicilian Red Shrimp showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The sea urchin, a premium selection from Hokkaido, delivered a creamy, plump richness, while the al dente Mezzi Paccheri was a perfect vessel for the shrimp sauce. For the main course, the Red Star Grouper in Matalotta Soup was a visual spectacle, with the warm liquid poured tableside. The rich soup and the scenic presentation made it a standout dish. The Iberian Pork Pluma was equally impressive, with a tenderness that spoke to the skill of the chef. Dessert was a delightful ending to our culinary journey. The Ricotta Cream Cannoli and Tiramisu served with coffee granita on the side and Amedei Chocolate showcased the classic Italian flavors with a creative twist. With a total bill of HKD 3800 (USD480) for two persons, inclusive of a 10% Amex Card discount, Tosca Di Angelo offers a premium dining experience. While the cost is on the higher side, the Michelin-starred fare, impeccable service, and breathtaking views justify the expense. In conclusion, Tosca Di Angelo provides a symphony of Sicilian delights at a dizzying height. The overall experience was undoubtedly memorable.

I was worried that this place would be over hyped for me but I really enjoyed my 4 course lunch meal here. I made a reservation online for 1:30 pm on a Saturday through email. I made this reservation on a Thursday and they got back to me on the same day. I took an Uber there because Google maps made it seem like it's not possible to MTR there without going out of the way from Tsim Sha Tsui...but it is. Just get off at Austin and you can take a walkway bridge to the mall that will eventually lead you to the Ritz. Anyways, there was no waiting involved and I was promptly seated. They rolled out bucket filled with champagnes and asked me if I'd like any but because I was on a budget I declined. They ask if you want water...you will pay for this. 90 HK for still Evian water, but I didn't mind. Just beware if you are on a budget. I stuck to water the whole meal. My 4 courses was 698 HK plus 10% service charge. I actually tipped my waiter more...like 15% more. Raymond was such an excellent waiter. He provided recommendations for each course and I decided to go with whatever he recommended: 1. Beef carpaccio (delicious!) 2. Spaghetti carbonara style (on the saltier side but still good) 3. pork belly with endivea (yummy!, Just the right amount of fat 4. Chocolate cake with raspberry (yummm). I was very full at the end...they give u Crudites in the beginning, followed by yummy bread, and Raymond gave me extra tiny desserts after my dessert. So if you are thinking that the 3 courses might not be enough...it probably will be lol. The view of Hong Kong island was so nice. I was actually seated further back and half way thru they asked me if I'd like to move to the window since the tables opened up and I Gladly accepted. Really enjoyed this experience. They are very attentive here!

Perched majestically on the 102nd floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, Tosca di Angelo is more than just a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant; it's a breathtaking culinary ascent where exquisite Mediterranean flavors meet unparalleled panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. This is a dining experience designed to captivate all senses, from the first glimpse of its soaring setting to the last, lingering taste of its artfully crafted dishes.

A View from the Top, A Taste of the South The ambiance at Tosca di Angelo is nothing short of spectacular. The high ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, and elegant water features create a sense of grandeur, yet the atmosphere remains sophisticated and inviting. The true showstopper, however, is the sweeping, unobstructed vista of Hong Kong's iconic skyline through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Whether bathed in the natural light of a midday lunch or shimmering with the city's lights at night, the view provides an unforgettable backdrop to the meal. An open kitchen buzzes with activity, offering a dynamic glimpse into the culinary artistry at play.

Under the helm of Sicilian Chef Angelo Aglianò, Tosca di Angelo champions a refined interpretation of Southern Italian cuisine, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients meticulously sourced from Italy and beyond. Chef Aglianò’s philosophy emphasizes honoring original tastes and traditional recipes while presenting them with contemporary flair. This approach results in dishes that, while seemingly unfussy, reveal layers of complex flavors and obvious refinement.

Culinary Masterpieces Signature dishes showcase Chef Aglianò's deep understanding of Italian gastronomy. The house-made pasta is consistently a highlight, often featuring delicate textures and robust sauces that speak to their authentic origins. Seafood, a cornerstone of Mediterranean cuisine, takes center stage in creations like the blue lobster dishes and the renowned Spaghetti Mancini with sea urchin, which offers a delightful interplay of textures and oceanic notes. Even a classic like the Traditional Tiramisu receives a thoughtful, modern twist, often accompanied by a refreshing coffee granita that elevates the dessert.

The wine list is extensive, with a particular strength in Italian labels, and the sommelier team is highly knowledgeable, offering expert recommendations to perfectly complement each course. The service is polished and attentive, reflecting the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining journey.

Tosca di Angelo is a destination that delivers on all fronts: a magnificent setting, sublime Italian cuisine, and impeccable service. It’s an ideal choice for a special occasion or simply for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience that celebrates both culinary excellence and...
