Naughty Nuri's is a popular restaurant in Bali which has branched out to various Asian locations including their restaurant along Rua da Felicidade which opened up a couple years back.
We ate here for the first time during Easter holiday and were very impressed with the food quality and reasonably priced lunch. Opening hours are 12.30-10pm (weekdays) and 3-10pm (Sat-Sun) daily. They are closed on certain public holidays like Chinese New Year.
Seating is casual and welcoming, lunch menu is simple with a handful of set options. They also offer a pretty good selection of bottled beers and other drinks.
During our meal, we tried their Beef Rendang (MOP78) which was good. Beef was stewed well, sauce was moderately rich in flavour. We would have preferred a bit more spice to liven up the dish but overall it was a good rendang for this part of the world.
What we loved where their signature spare ribs (MOP80)! This was a 'wow' type serving. Pork was succulent and slid right off the bone. The BBQ glaze is slightly sweet with a bit of chilli to give it a kick without being too hot. Just perfect, finally a place to target in Macau specifically for ribs.
Lunch sets come with a bit of salad, rice and drinks. We tried their turmeric rice (+12) which was delicious and well worth opting for over the plain steamed rice. We also tried the Bali Stark Dark Wheat beer on offer. Not bad but not a first choice dark beer for us either.
Overall, good job by the team at Naughty Nuri. This is an easy recommendation to make to visitors seeking good food at very reasonable prices near the Macau World Heritage area. It is also a place we look forward to eating at again - especially...
Read moreI visited this casual eatery in old Macau with high hopes, especially for their burgers, but left disappointed. The main meal, which seemed to be ribs, was a letdown. The ribs were extremely fatty and tasted like they were frozen rather than fresh, completely missing the robust meat flavor you'd expect. They were heavily coated with a caramelized dressing, seemingly in an attempt to mask the lack of meat taste, which didn't help much.
We had originally gone in for the burgers, but after we settled down, we were informed that they were sold out, which was surprising given it was a regular day and the restaurant was only half full. This was a significant disappointment, as it was one of our main reasons for choosing this place.
The food overall was not good, lacking in both quality and flavor. The decoration was just okay, nothing special or noteworthy that would make the dining experience memorable.
Overall, I would not recommend this eatery. It felt like a waste of time, especially when there are so many other places in old Macau offering much better culinary experiences. If you're looking for quality food or a pleasant dining atmosphere, you might want to...
Read moreBest ribs in the region. Worth a trip to Macau specially for this.
We have had this in the flagship Bali store a couple of years back and was thrilled to learn that they opened a new store here.
The ribs is AMAZING and even better than what we remembered. The ribs had the right amount of meat and fats. It came off right from the bones and almost melt-in-your-mouth. Portion was good enough for 2 pax.
We also had the curry mussel. Similar to the Thai red curry and we enjoyed it especially with baguette bread. Wish there was more bread however.
Even though we were full, we had to order the grilled pineapple. Pineapple was super sweet and we really like the charcoal taste. Wish it was grilled longer however so it can be softer.
Don’t hesitate anymore and make a...
