We found the food to be good at standard Macao Portuguese restaurant prices. The table red wine was well priced and surprisingly good, with a half litre enough for the three of us. All dishes are just over or around MOP100, with a 10% service charge overall. We ended up paying MOP500 for dinner and wine for 3 people. We were very full afterwards.
The menu is in English, Chinese and Portuguese.
We had: Duck rice - the duck was tender and the rice cooked just right. The sausage on top was only a few pieces however, less than I've seen at other restaurants. African half chicken (spicy chicken) - this was pretty good and the size of the chicken was impressive, although the sauce on top makes it look bigger than it actually is. Again, it was pretty good, but I think I was spoiled last time I came to Kaohsiung because I have tasted slightly better. However I was very happy with the taste and would order it again. Cabbage stir fried in garlic - this was pretty standard, nothing special, but the portion was quite generous and was too much for three people. Chicken curry - this was chicken on the bone and was very tasty. Came with rice and had vegetables inside the curry.
Overall I recommend this restaurant, especially if you are staying at the Rio because it's just around the corner in a cute...
Read moreComfort food feel Portuguese cuisine. Recommended dish - Grilled pork spareribs, juicy, tender meat served hot off the grill. Been told will take longer to wait, it actually doesn't take that long. By the time appetizers of vegetables and chicken kidney in tomato sauce were enjoyed just right dipping in with the light crunchy bun, although just the bun with butter was my favorite, regardless, it was good timing serving the main dish. Asians in general is all about efficiency and expectations of service time is hence higher.
Classic Portuguese style soup was immaculate with added olive oil - Caldo verde, made of mashed potatoes with finely sliced green vegetables and sausages.
Outstanding service. Lady manager been working there for about 20 years, friendly and comfortable casual talks, skillfully create the welcoming atmosphere and make it feels like home, wanting to go back again.
Read moreRestaurant had a good atmosphere. The food was fresh and pretty delicious, although it might seem bland to the Chinese palate. The flavors were very ingredient focused and I highly recommend the oxtail dish. The complimentary garlic bread went well with the Portuguese sausages and everything was tasty.
I recommend going with a group of at least 2 people as it’s nice to order many dishes and try different things. The service is also good and all the staff members were very kind. The food arrived quickly, too. Although everything is good, nothing really stood out too much. It’s just a very well done Portuguese restaurant that I would recommend to people trying out the cuisine for the first time in Macau. There is also a lack of...
