The Place — Restaurant in Santo António

Edit: second time here, after waiting for half and hour, no drinks, no food, even the customers arrived later than us, food has been served. Technically, the waitresses have no time to serve customers despite constant requests. Disappointed and never come again.

Cosy environment, when my family and I were dined in, the Christmas decorations as if asking us to stay longer. We ordered two bowls of ramen and Okonomiyaki with beef. The latter cost $78, but lettuce and potatoes were overwhelming. Beef was not impressed as only little amount could be found, not significant. Overall, it tastes good, and deserve another visit for other food.

PS the food needs extra 10% charge for service fee, which is not common for this type of cafe. The service is so far so good, the only thing I was not impressed was the waitress refilled us very hot water, and completely full, which we could not drink...

We stopped here for dinner, and I regret not finding this place sooner. The decor was nice and a little bit geared towards Halloween this time around. My wife and I both had been sick earlier in the trip and decided to play it safe with wraps. I had the beef wrap and she the fried chicken.

I was pleasantly surprised when it came out how well done it was. It was served on a small charcuterie board alongside the salad and fries ( more like home fries). Salad was pleasant, the wrap was delicious, and the home fries were done perfectly ( crispy outside, soft and pillowly on the inside). Great meal.

Food was marvelous. I was not expecting mutch out of it as it is nit that pricey, but food surprised me in a good way. Nice looking and delicious. I don't recall where I have eaten such a good grilled solmon like here. Also french frues with trufhles are must try.

I was so surprised to find an Alter place like this close to one of the more important hystorical sites. Hipsters will definitley like it. Beautifull and original interior. Also has some books so I guess you can read if you want.
