sensory ZERO [ New Town Plaza | All Day Dining ] — Restaurant in Sha Tin District

Sensory Zero has opened up several places around the city including this branch on L7 of the New Town Plaza shopping mall in Shatin. Opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily. Basically this is a All day (all things) sort of eatery that offers cooked meals, desserts, coffees and local beers in brightly lit, urban and casual environs.

At this Sensory Zero I recently had a decent lemon tart dessert and Orange Sparkling Americano, an interesting drink with orange juice, soda water and espresso which you pour and mix yourself after being served. Everything was decent, nothing outstanding nor bad - just ok. This is similar to what I've found at other Sensory Zero branches.

Note: They will bring menus to your table but you order through mobile app. There is a barcode at each table. Free wifi is available at New Town Plaza. When you are finished, just take your receipt which servers will put on your table up the cash...

My experience at Sensory Zero at the New Town Plaza (December 2024): New Town Plaza is a great mall. Just opens into MTR & has every shop/brand there (except for Lego 😔) Sensory ZERO has very basic seating with a coffee station, a dessert display, and food menu. The staff knows very little English, so you are on your own for most times Ordered the following: Baby chocolate (5/5) - amazing taste. Wait for the chocolate overload at the end. Must have! Picolo latte (4/5) - basic. Good. Easy French cat with yogurt (3/5) - vegetarians won’t like this as it was very eggy and smelled of eggs a lot. Had to douse it in maple syrup, yogurt, and compote to lose that smell. Surprisingly, the place had marked it as “Vegetarian”. Sigh. Avoid.

Overall, spent 170 HKD here & the experience was okay. Might recommend for the hot chocolate but...

The price of afternoon tea sets are more reasonable, the quality is just average, don’t expect too much. But definitely worth to try if the dish uses Japanese eggs. Had cold brew lychee oolong and crazy chocolate for the drinks included afternoon tea sets, the chocolate was not too sweet which is good, the tea is kind of too light in tea flavour. For the service, the staff was not performing well while the afternoon was not very busy. I have to wave for multiple times for assistant, they are very unfocused. Not feeling...
