This was our second time at Xibei, and it was just as good as we remembered. The food is proper northern Chinese—super tasty, filling, and the portions are generous. It’s a spot locals love, and we totally get why. Even though the staff don’t really speak English, the menu has English translations, so it’s easy to order. Everything we tried hit the spot. Definitely one of our favorite places in Shanghai when we want something comforting...

Found this place by luck as we went around looking for a place that serves nice beef for lunch.

We were pretty excited when we saw that this place serves northern Chinese cuisine especially in the western and Mongolian regions.
