The restaurant is really nice, the service is amazing, unfortunately, for me, the ramen was not the star of the night. It is definitely not cheap, but at the same time is not too expensive for the average person. We ordered both gyozas and deep fried gyozas and the classic ones were the best out of the two. For the ramen I ordered the Beef Shoyu Ramen and it was okay, the flavor was nice but flat; the meat slices were really thin and that was an unexpected factor for everyone in my group that ordered a beef ramen, and for the price point I was hoping for a ramen that would be the star of the night, but instead the stars of the night were the cocktails and the dessert, the cheesecake to be precise. Both cocktails were great and made out of whiskey, and the flavor kept changing as the ice melted. The alcohol was always present in the Ichigo (strawberry) one and you could taste it at all times, but the 'Maracumango' had the alcohol really hidden and you could barely taste it or feel it in your mouth which is something that some people would prefer. The desserts were also good, but the cheesecake was definitely the best out of the three that we tried. The arequipe gyozas were okay, and the lychee Mochi ice cream was good. Still, we all concluded that the cheesecake was the best. I almost forgot to mention that the music played was on an infinite loop, so I heard the same songs for over 3 hours, I think that I heard 'Cool Kids' form Echosmith like 3 or 4 times during the night, and the same covers from popular songs as well, to the point that it was becoming a little bit annoying. Long story short, in my experience, the ramen was good but not as good as people are hyping it up, or at least, maybe due to the hype, the ramen did not live up to my expectations especially for the price point. On the other hand, the cheesecake is to die for!

This place has the potential for a five star rating. The location is bright and spacious, especially in the back room. We were there on a busy day and only got a spot in the front, but it was still nice and considering how many people were there, the service was quick and attentive. Now, the only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the vegetarian ramen, in my opinion, was not good at all. 😞 I know, ramen is usually with meat, but many good restaurants offer a veggie option as well. Ajisen doesn’t have a vegetarian option (which could be served with egg) but two vegan ones instead. Which is nice… but I cannot recommend the vegan ramen at all. The broth tasted like your average vegetable stock and did not have the typical ramen consistency or flavor. It was really bland. I’d give the katsu vegan ramen 1/5 stars. It would be really nice if they had a veggie friendly ramen with a better ramen broth and tofu or mushrooms. Maybe for the future 🍜😋 Everything else though was really good! I did try a bit of the traditional ramen to see what it tastes like and it was way much better. The shrimp appetizer was also worth it! Overall, the place has a lot to offer and is really nice so I would go again, but order differently next time. 🙈 Oh, and make sure to have a reservation on weekends cause the line can be very long.

Ajisen is an official Ramen restaurant originally from Japan and they just opened in Bogota! I have lived in Asia for 4 years so I am very picky about Ramen. My friends & I were so excited to try it out. It was so delicious! Hands down the best and most authentic Ramen in Colombia. They make their own ramen noodles, gyoza wrappers, and broth! The staff was super welcoming, happy, helpful, kind, and fast! We got served very well! There are 12 different types of ramen on the menu. I tired the kimchi ramen and it wasn't spicy at all and I enjoy some spice. All my friends enjoyed their chicken ramen. I want to go back to try all their ramen! We tried all their desserts and shared them. My personal favorite was the Japanese cheesecake, so soft and fluffy! My second favorite was the lychee mochi ice cream. But many of my friends really love the arequipe mochi ice cream. Highly recommend and excited to come back. Worth the price for the amazing service and quality!
